Carole had suffered from receding gums and gum disease for several years and as a result bone loss in her jaw was moving her teeth and causing gaps. Carole said “I was very self-conscious about my teeth and I thought that there was no solution to my problem as the bone loss meant I wasn’t a suitable patient for dental implants. From my first consultation with Dr Lane I felt totally at ease and confident in his ability, after going away to think, I decided to go ahead. I was made an appointment for a few weeks later and the procedure was carried out in 1 day. Throughout the treatment I had conscious sedation and it was totally pain-free. Even afterwards there was no bruising, just slight swelling the next day.

After seeing an advertisement for Queensway Dental Clinic, I booked in for a free consultation with Dr Ian Lane. I discussed with Ian what I was unhappy with about my smile and what I would like to achieve ready for my wedding day.
After being told the options I decided on teeth whitening, 3 veneers, 1 crown and a porcelain inlay to replace an old silver filling.
As I only had 3 months from my first consultation until I got married, Ian was fantastic at fitting me in so that I got my lovely white smile in time.

Anita had always been conscious of the gaps in her smile as her lateral teeth never grew.
To try and fill the gaps, initially Anita had a retainer with filling material that made the gaps less noticeable, but she wanted a more permanent solution that looked and felt natural. She was referred to the local dental hospital where she has a fixed brace fitted to widen the gaps so that a bridge could be fitted to fill the missing lateral teeth.

Before the bridge was fitted, a family member recommended that Anita made an appointment at Queensway Dental Clinic to see Dr Paul Averley. At her consultation Dr Averley suggested dental implants for an aesthetically pleasing, permanent solution to fill the gaps.
As a nervous patient Anita was initially unsure, but Dr Averley was able to administer conscious sedation so that Anita felt calm and at ease throughout the procedure.

I first heard of Queensway from a friends recommendation when a very old veneer on my front tooth had come off. With only a day before I was going on holiday I had an emergency appointment with Dr Ian Lane. He was able to temporarily replace the veneer until I returned from holiday when I had my new veneers fitted.
The service that I received at Queensway was fantastic and extremely professional. I have had so many positive comments from friends and family and even people that I don’t know! I got married in July and having a perfect smile made me feel fantastic.
Hazel from Billingham was looking for a solution to replace her top-arch dentures. With her son’s wedding fast approaching and a holiday planned, she wanted to be able to give her best smile in the photographs. Immediately Hazel felt at ease with Dr Lane, he carefully explained the procedure for dental implants on her top arch and after an examination he found that after years of wearing dentures, Hazel had soft tissue in the roof of her mouth which needed correcting before the procedure took place. With the care and attention that she received in the initial consultation about the surgery, including making Dr Lane aware of her fears of being in the dental chair, Hazel went ahead and booked the one-day procedure.

To relieve Hazel of her fears on the day Dr Lane administered conscious sedation so she felt relaxed, for Hazel this was wonderful. She was still awake throughout the whole procedure and aware of her surroundings and able to speak to Dr Lane. Dr Lane was also able to talk to her throughout for reassurance. Alongside Dr Lane, this complex surgery was carried out by our visiting consultant, Maxillofacial Surgeon, Mr Rob Banks who has provided implant care in the North East for the last ten years.
The next day Hazel was amazed with the results, there was no bruising and the transformation was impressive. Within a week the results were clear to see and Hazel was overwhelmed by her new smile.
