Queensway Dental Laboratory
Queensway Dental Laboratory is located on-site at Queensway Dental Clinic in Billingham. It is a full service private laboratory producing a high standard of crown & bridge, prosthetic, implant and orthodontic work for dentists at the clinic and a growing number of outside clients.
With a state-of-the-art facility, our goal is to become the leading provider of private technical dentistry in the North East through our team’s training and the professional service we offer, whilst using the latest equipment and techniques.
Queensway Dental Laboratory has a close working relationship with Nobel Biocare and has invested in the latest optical Procera scanner, allowing the design and manufacture of CoCr bonded frameworks, titanium/zirconia implant abutments and titanium/zirconia implant bars.
Each of the three crown and bridge work stations boasts a Vision Engineering Mantis stereo microscope to check marginal fit and further improve the standard of work.
The ceramic restorations are fired in Ivoclar Vivadent touch screen furnaces, one being a EP5000 pressing furnace used for processing E.max restorations.
The key to any great dental restoration is accurate stone casts. All dental stone powder:water ratios are weighed out using the WhipMix AquaSpence which measures these ratios automatically. We believe this attention to detail and accuracy sets us apart from nearly all other dental laboratories. The opposing impressions for crown and bridge work are cast in the same die stone mixed to the same ratios as the working cast. This guarantees a linear expansion across both casts and aims to reduce chair side occlusal adjustments allowing us to achieve exceptional standards.
The prosthetics department uses the Bredent Thermopress injection moulding system which can be used for a huge range of indications including; flexible dentures, tooth coloured resin partial denture frameworks, adding tooth coloured clasps to existing CoCr frameworks, crystal clear hard splints and surgical implant stents and temporary ‘snap-on’ smiles.
The prosthetics department uses Ivoclar Vivadent PE teeth and the Schottlander colour tone denture base staining system to produce extremely lifelike prostheses.
The laboratory has also teamed up with Mr Rob Banks, maxillofacial consultant, to provide him with All-On-4™ implant technical support for immediately loaded full-arch implant cases in dental surgeries around the North East.
Over the course of the last ten months Mr Rob Banks and Queensway Dental Laboratory have performed 25 All-On-4™ surgery’s together achieving fantastic results for the patients.
An edentulous patient or patient with periodontal/aesthetic problems can leave your dental practice following a five hour procedure with an immediately loaded fixed full arch long-term temporary restoration.
