GIFT presents an exciting new concept. The GIFT Continuum teaching programme is an on-going series of specific dental implant based topics that can be attended in any order, delivering units of information that combine to form the building blocks of a course that may be expanded to a postgraduate degree.

NEBDN Certificate in Dental Radiography

This course is designed for dental nurses who are required to x-ray patients under the direction of the dentist. The need for this arises from the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2000 (IR(ME)R) 2000. This legislation requires all operators who are directly involved in x-raying patients to be adequately trained.

The course will provide you with the NEBDN (National Examining Board for Dental Nurses) Certificate in Dental Radiography if successful.

The aim of the course is to provide dental nurses with the necessary knowledge and skills to educate patients about oral health with a view to achieving favourable changes to their behaviour.

It is directed primarily at Dental Nurses working in dental practices or dental clinics and should enable them to staff a preventative dental unit in such an establishment.
