Introduction of CEREC-3D technology
CEREC uses CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology, incorporating a camera, computer and milling machine.
In about one hour we can restore teeth, using restorations that resemble the composition of natural tooth structure and without the need for impressions. This ground-breaking treatment ensures no second appointment will be necessary. Chipped and discoloured teeth can be repaired using ceramic crowns and veneers. Broken down molars can be restored using ceramic inlays and onlays, meaning unsightly silver fillings are a thing of the past.
The defective filling and decay is removed from the tooth. Using a small camera in the mouth an accurate 3D image of the damaged tooth is aquired.
Using this image data the restoration is designed on a color screen. Diamond coated instruments mill a ceramic block to produce the restoration very accurately.
Finally, the new ceramic restoration is bonded to the surface of the old tooth, ensuring a long life, maximum strength and great looks!
