Anita had always been conscious of the gaps in her smile as her lateral teeth never grew.
To try and fill the gaps, initially Anita had a retainer with filling material that made the gaps less noticeable, but she wanted a more permanent solution that looked and felt natural. She was referred to the local dental hospital where she had a fixed brace fitted to widen the gaps so that a bridge could be fitted to fill the missing lateral teeth.
Before the bridge was fitted, a family member recommended that Anita made an appointment at Queensway Dental Clinic to see Dr Paul Averley. At her consultation Dr Averley suggested dental implants for an aesthetically pleasing, permanent solution to fill the gaps.
As a nervous patient Anita was initially unsure, but Dr Averley was able to administer conscious sedation so that Anita felt calm and at ease throughout the procedure.
After her treatment Anita said: “What I am most pleased about is that nobody can tell that I had gaps, the dental implants look and feel so natural, and I am amazed at the transformation.”
