Specialist oral surgery services

Queensway has been involved in providing Specialist Oral Surgery treatment for the past 12 years. We are happy to
provide treatment on referral for NHS and private patients.

At present Oral Surgery Services are
available from two separate sites:

• Queensway Dental Practice (QDP) in Billingham, Cleveland (NHS Teesside patients only. All private referrals welcome irrespective of place of residence)
• Queensway Durham Oral Surgery Specialist Clinic (QDOSS) in Ferryhill, County Durham (NHS County Durham patients only. All Private referrals welcome irrespective of place of
  residence)
• Pending August 2009 - Queensway Darlington Oral Surgery Specialist Clinic (QDOSS), Darlington, County Durham (NHS County Durham patients only. All Private referral welcome irrespective of place of residence)

Our team of specialist oral surgeons
welcome referrals for:

• Extractions of special difficulty with associated pathology
• Removal of wisdom teeth as indicated by NICE (www.nice.org.uk March 2000)
• Removal of buried roots and fractured or residual root fragments
• Removal of simple, impacted, ectopic supernumerary teeth
• Exposure of teeth (removal of gum and or bone over the surface of the tooth preventing eruption)
• Management of minor dental trauma including the re-implantation of avulsed teeth
• Surgical endodontics (apicectomies) where appropriate
• Removal or enucleation of a simple dental cyst.
• Soft tissue excisions of benign polyps,
  mucoceles and denture hyperplasia.
