Specialist Periodontal Treatment
Non Surgical Management
A comprehensive periodontal assessment and full charting of the periodontal tissues is completed for all patients. This essential step not only provides important baseline records, but also helps with patient communication and motivation. Sufficient time is included to optimise patient plaque control and prescribe any necessary adjunctive treatment. All root surfaces are then carefully decontaminated, under local anaesthesia where necessary. Our aim is to achieve periodontal health in the least invasive and most cost-effective manner in partnership with our team of enthusiastic hygienists. Evidence from the scientific literature highlights the importance of regular supportive treatment to maintain periodontal health. A suitable recall programme can be arranged for your patients, on completion of therapy.

Surgical Periodontal Treatment
Some patients may need surgical periodontal treatment to resolve any persistent problems. The most up-to-date microsurgical instruments, materials and techniques are used to provide predictable treatment results with minimal trauma to the periodontal tissues. Regenerative procedures using specialist biomaterials and grafting techniques mean that lost periodontal attachment can be predictably regenerated in many cases.
Crown Lengthening
As part of cosmetic or restorative dental treatment, crown lengthening techniques can be used to manipulate the periodontal tissues to improve their appearance, or to preserve the biologic width prior to restorative dental procedures.

Regenerative Treatment and Soft Tissue Grafting
Patients who have significant gingival recession or a lack of attached mucosa may benefit from soft tissue grafting. Soft tissue grafts and other root coverage procedures are designed to cover exposed roots, to reduce further gum recession and to protect vulnerable roots from decay and sensitivity. We use specialist grafting materials such as Emdogain®, BioOss®. And BioGide® where necessary.
