Dr Will Carter’s Awards Success

Queensway is delighted to announce that Dr Will Carter has been named ‘Young Dentist of the Year’ at the 2016 Dental Awards.

Will, 34, attended this prestigious awards ceremony, the original and most respected in UK dentistry, on Friday 22nd April at the Birmingham Hilton, alongside ten of his colleagues from the Billingham clinic.

On the night Will was awarded the Young Dentist of the Year title for the Midlands/ North region. He then went on to scoop the national accolade.

Dr Paul Averley, Will’s colleague and managing partner at Queensway Dental Clinic said of Will’s achievement: “This award is not only testament to Will’s drive and determination to offer the best care to his patients, but also his commitment to on-going education and training. I am incredibly proud of Will. As a fellow partner of the clinic; he provides an invaluable contribution to the excellence of our team. This drive and determination to be the best dentist he can has been rightly acknowledged by this national award and we are pleased he has brought it back to Billingham.”

After graduating as a Dentist in 2004, Will has notched up an incredibly impressive post-graduate education. This has seen him attain a Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Newcastle University, an MSc (awarded with merit) in Clinical Restorative Cosmetic Dentistry from the University of Central Lancashire, a Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties examination at the Royal College of Surgeons as well as gaining an MSc (awarded with a merit) in Dental Implantology from Warwick University.

Will has also embarked on the internationally-renowned Kois Centre course with fellow Queensway colleagues becoming part of a group of 5 of only 15 UK graduates. At the time of graduating from the Seattle centre in 2014, Dr Will Carter accredited this training to helping to strengthen dentists’ commitment to excellence and to doing the best for their patients’ individual needs.

Commenting on his Young Dentist of the Year award success, Dr Will Carter said; “I would like to thank all my wonderful patients and colleagues who supported my application for this award, I always put patients at the centre of what I do and it is great for this to be acknowledged at a national level. These things are only possible when you are part of a professional and ethical team, so I think the whole team at Queensway should be proud of the modern, evidence based care we provide."

Congratulations Will on this tremendous achievement!
