PATIENT UPDATE: Moving into step 4 of the government’s roadmap.

If you have had chance to read our latest newsletter you will have seen that we are looking at how our patient journey will look after Monday 19th July, when we move into step 4 of the government’s roadmap.

The lifting of restrictions is welcomed by all the team here at Queensway Dental, the prospect of increased freedom and the hope of a return to pre-pandemic normality. Everyone has their own thoughts whether this is the right time for restrictions to be or not to be lifted. Individuals have their own feelings on whether they would prefer to wear their masks or not to wear their masks, and we would like to reassure you that we respect all our patients’ choices. However, as a healthcare provider, we politely request that you continue to wear your face covering when visiting the practice.

Over the last 18 months, we are proud that we have been able to remain open throughout what has been a difficult time for all. We are grateful to our patients for the way they have adhered to our guidelines and proud of our staff for the way they have conducted themselves and adapted to the changes within the practice. Thank you.

Queensway has always put the safety of patients and the team at the forefront of our decisions and now is no different. Since we are a healthcare provider, we cannot remove all restrictions like some social settings will be able to do. We will be required to continue to wear facemasks in the dental buildings, social distancing will remain in our waiting rooms, our video consultations will continue for new patients and our covid safety measures will be maintained.

We will, however, no longer be asking you to complete a pre-appointment covid assessment. Instead, you must contact us prior to your appointment should you have been in direct contact with anyone who has tested positive for coronavirus, or if you are showing any symptoms. When we decide the timing is right, or when we are guided by our governing bodies to make any further changes, please be assured that we will contact you again to keep you informed.

In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you at your next appointment, we appreciate your co-operation and thank you for your confidence in Queensway Dental, allowing us to keep you safe whilst doing what we love, creating confident smiles.

With very best wishes,
The Queensway Dental Team
