Smile update | April 2021

Hello and welcome to our April newsletter,

After a wonderfully long Easter weekend last weekend, we are really looking forward to further restrictions easing a little next week. Spring is beginning to feel like a time of our new normal, of warmer weather, sunshine and smiles.

At Queensway Dental we continue to create confidence in people’s smiles and thanks to your cooperation and adhering to our policies and procedures our priority remains keeping our staff and patients safe. We are very proud of what we have achieved over the last year and how many patients we have been able to help.

We hope to see you soon and in the meantime if you have any concerns regarding your dental health then please do not hesitate to contact us via phone, email or web chat or follow us on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.

With Best Wishes

SELF-CARE – we are here for it!

Patient, Samantha hated her old smile and in January she decided she wanted to start the new year with some self-care.

She booked a free video consultation at Queensway Dental and now, following tooth whitening and a digital smile design which led to PMMA veneers, she has the ultimate smile makeover…

From never smiling in a photo…to this! We think Samantha looks amazing!

Last week marked the long awaited return of our Queensway Star photoshoots and the top of our list was Clinical Treatment Coordinator and patient, Amber whose dream was to be a Queensway Star.

We were happy to help make her dream come true and as you can see, a star was born that day!

Shining bright since her composite veneer treatment, the self confessed fur mama also brought along her gorgeous new puppy, Cleo to the shoot.

One year ago, the first national lockdown began and since then our lives have changed significantly.

We recently commemorated National Reflection Day by remembering those that have lost loved ones and reflect on difficulties we’ve all faced.

We also have a lot to be proud of as here at Queensway Dental as we have remained open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the storm, we tried to look to the rainbow…

QUEENSWAY DENTAL PLEDGES TO PLANT A TREE FOR EVERY DENTAL IMPLANT PLACED IN 2021

We are delighted to have pledged to plant a tree on behalf of every patient who has a dental implant fitted in 2021.

Working with EFORESTS, a not-for-profit organisation that helps combat climate change and help create and restore woodlands throughout the United Kingdom, they plan to plant over hundreds of trees in the coming months.

EFORESTS work with existing, publicly accessible woodlands, nature reserves, urban farms and wildlife trusts to help preserve and enhance woodlands and woodland corridors to benefit wildlife and our future generations.

For every patient that has a dental implant fitted in 2021, Queensway Dental has pledged to donate to the EFORESTS fund, so every implant patient knows that they are contributing to reducing the impact of climate change. The patient will also receive an e-certificate with the type of tree and location where it has been planted.

Queensway Dental, based in Billingham and Newcastle is accredited with a Silver Dental CSR certificate which recognises its commitment to the environment and supporting local communities. Queensway also holds an investor in the Environment Bronze award and have an action plan supported by their very own ‘green team’.

Dr Will Carter, partner at Queensway said: “Planting trees can have a tremendous benefit to the environment. By pledging to donate to EFORESTS on behalf of every patient who has a tooth implant, we can make a very small, but ever so necessary difference to climate change and growing a positive, greener future for generations to come. It is the least we can do, and we are proud to support the cause.”

Andrew Haining Founder of EFORESTS.CO.UK said; “It’s great that Queensway are planting trees with us on behalf of their patients. Planting trees has so many benefits for people, the planet and for wildlife. It’s nice to know that each time a patient is taking care of their teeth, they are also helping to take care of the planet.”

In last month’s issue we announced that we had become an official corporate partner of the Teesside Family Foundation – a charitable organisation committed to supporting local people and causes in our area.

Last week we were delighted to be able support Billingham Foodbank by donating 200 Easter eggs to help families in need enjoy the Easter break.

We look forward to keeping you updated with the projects we are going to be supporting in our region.
