The Lockdown Latest from Queensway Dental – July 2020

We hope you and your family are well and are continuing to stay safe through these difficult times. The coronavirus pandemic has had a big impact on all aspects of our lives and dentistry has been no exception.

As a practice we are proud to have remained open throughout the lockdown period, working with a small team of staff enabling us to provide emergency dental treatment for patients.

Since 8th June we have welcomed some more patients back to the practice and understandably until now we have been prioritising people who have developed problems and symptoms. However, we are delighted to be now welcoming back our wider team to be able to provide the required care for our patients and we are working hard to prioritise patients who are in need of our help. We really have missed all of our team and lovely patients.

Although many things have changed over the last few months and we hope to share some of the changes within the practice in this newsletter, one thing which remains the same is our commitment to your safety and the safety of our team.

If you have not had the opportunity to take a look at our new patient journey video, we would encourage you to do so.

Thank you for your patience and understanding over the last three months – we are really looking forward to seeing you as soon as we can.

Best wishes,

Queensway Dental

Important changes have been implemented at Queensway Dental to ensure the safety of our patients and our team.

We understand that things may look and feel a little bit different compared to previous visits, so please watch this short video ahead of your appointment so you know what to expect.

Not only do these scrub caps make us smile, they serve a great purpose in helping us identify members of the team who are wearing face masks!

Next time you’re at the practice, we hope our team can help you smile, too!

Helping our local community is very important to us and we are delighted to announce we have been awarded a silver certification for corporate social responsibility in recognition of our work.

Throughout lockdown we have made donations to the local foodbanks, donated PPE to local carers and hospitals, our dental partners have been able to take the opportunity to volunteer and help with local businesses. We have also provided emergency appointments free of charge and have instead encouraged patients to make a donation to Harbour Women’s Refuge Centre.

We are dedicated to helping our local community and look forward to continuing our support for companies and charities who may struggle following the lockdown period.

Our new virtual consultations allow you to start your journey to a new smile from the comfort of your own home by asking an experienced dentist questions regarding different treatments, costs and payment options.

If you or a family member/ friend are interested in booking a virtual consultation, all you have to do is visit our website, fill in the form and we can take care of the rest. We hope to virtually meet you soon!
