Orthodontics (Billingham) - NHS & Private Referral Service
We are able to offer NHS assessments for all patients who are 17-years-old and under from the Teesside and County Durham area, and treatment for those who qualify under the local and national IOTN criteria.
Should a patient not qualify on the grounds of IOTN or dental status (untreated caries, poor motivation or oral hygiene) we will write back explaining why they have not been accepted for treatment. The risks and benefits of any proposed interventions will be discussed with the patient and their family at the time.
Prior to referring we would ask that all patients are caries free (or arrangements are in place to do so) with a good standard of oral hygiene and a suitable level of understanding as to what their treatment might involve and require from them.
Private referrals can be made irrespective of patient age, geography or severity.
