Crowns & Bridges
These teeth were discoloured and worn down so appeared shorter than they should be with gaps between them, after discussing all the options this patient decided to have a mixture of ceramic crowns and bridges to repair the damage that had been caused, a soft splint was provided to reduce
the risk of future breakages. This treatment only took two sessions.

As a regular patient at Queensway, Rayanne decided to find out more about the options for improving her smile. “I have been visiting Queensway as an NHS patient for around 10 years. I’d always been conscious of the size of my teeth especially when talking or smiling, so
when I discussed my concerns with me dentist he referred me for a consultation.” The dentist said “I referred Rayanne as she had very severe tooth wear and was interested in finding out the options to build them back up.” “When I visited for my consultation my dentist made me feel completely at ease. He was a complete professional and a really great dentist. I trusted that he understood my concerns and knew exactly how he could help me. I didn't have any worries about going ahead with my treatment as I had every confidence in my dentist.” As she had significant tooth wear, Rayanne’s treatment began with a full mouth bite assessment to evaluate her bite and identify whether the way in which the teeth come together could be improved. Rayanne then had an implant placed in to her upper jaw to support a crown and close the gap in her smile. A further six crowns were then fitted to her front teeth to improve their shape and size. Some ceramic on lays, manufactured at Queensway Dental Laboratory, were then placed on to Rayanne’s back teeth, improving the strength of the teeth and the appearance of old silver fillings. The treatment on the back teeth also helped to improve Rayanne’s bite position. “I feel like a completely different person after my treatment. I feel so much more confident about being me! I don’t have to have my hand over my mouth when I talk, or feel conscious about not showing any teeth when I smile.” “The service has been amazing, and I could not fault it. I have a really busy private life, and the team at the clinic have always been really sympathetic to my situation. They've been excellent at supporting me throughout my treatment, making appointments that work for me and rearranging any if necessary. I know that they have really gone out of their way to do what they can for me, and it’s made having treatment so much easier.”

Peter had initially been referred to Queensway by his family dentist, however with running his own business time constraints had meant Peter didn’t proceed with his appointment straight away. After further thought Peter began researching to find a dentist who could provide a solution to
the problems he had with his smile. “My teeth were in a bad state, and I was beginning to have more problems when eating. I had realised that I was likely to need major dental work which encouraged me to look for a dentist able to carry out the treatment, which was why I came back to Queensway.” Peter visited Queensway Dental Clinic for an initial consultation and was suggested a treatment plan which would involve both upper ceramic crowns and bridge work, composite build ups and a lower partial denture. “I chose to go ahead with the recommended treatment as after meeting my dentist, I felt completely confident that both he and the Queensway team could deliver exactly what they said they could. Everything about my treatment was explained to me fully beforehand so I understood what was involved and what to expect throughout.” Peter’s treatment took just over 4 months. With both his partial chrome denture, crown and bridge work manufactured on-site at Queensway Dental Laboratory. “I am over the moon with my teeth and smile after completing treatment. It has been a total transformation. I was always cynical about the effect something like this could have on a person. I would see advertisements in which people would talk about the transformation they had experienced and would always take them with a pinch of salt, however I am now the person who says that! As a business man I meet and speak to people daily, and I now enjoy smiling and flashing my teeth at people.”

“I've been a patient at Queensway from the age of around 3, and now visit the clinic with my own family. I first had treatment to improve the colour of my teeth at the age of 16, as medication I had been prescribed had caused my teeth to change colour. I then had further treatment to improve the appearance of my front teeth with
crowns and veneers. I had discussed with my dentist the possible options for improving my smile. The health of my mouth and teeth is something that’s always been really important to me and as my oral health was good, my dentist was able to suggest a treatment plan for me. It was great to be given choices. My dentist was really open with me and explained everything really well. I was given time to think about what I wanted to do and allowed to decide in my own time, without feeling pressured, about the course of treatment I wanted to go ahead with. I have been able to compete the stages of my treatment when it suits me, both personally and financially, which has been excellent. I put my complete trust and faith in my dentist and couldn’t be happier with the results. I love my smile, and am no longer conscious of it. Both my dentist and the nurse have been great. Everyone at the clinic is lovely, from the moment you walk through the door everyone is really friendly. I always speak as I find and I’m never afraid to ask questions about anything and know that I can speak to my dentist if I ever have any concerns. I love that things are always explained to me and I have always been aware of exactly what is happening at each stage of my treatment. All of my family visit Queensway and I have recommended the clinic to many of my friends and colleagues.” The dentist said “As there are now much better materials available when manufacturing crowns and veneers it was possible to achieve a really great result with a very natural aesthetic. We are fortunate to have an on-site dental laboratory at Queensway, meaning I was able to work very closely with the team at the lab to ensure the best possible results.” Treatment involved replacing old crowns and veneers with new ceramic ones, which were produced by Queensway Dental Laboratory.

“I was beginning to have problems with one of the remaining teeth at the back of my mouth, and was scared of losing it. I had been advised by my dentist that it would have to be removed sooner rather than later if it kept causing me problems, so I was interested in finding out what my options would be. My sister had also pointed out
that I was beginning to develop a gap between my two front teeth that I hadn’t even noticed! I used to live in Billingham, and as both my partner and I still work there he suggested Queensway to me. It was actually my partner that called in and made me the appointment.” “My dentist was really good, he explained everything to me so I knew exactly what my options were. I was so confident in what he could do to help me that I even visited him to have my tooth removed before I started the rest of my treatment! All of the staff have been great too, from the girls on reception to the nurses, the service has been brilliant.” After the extraction of her loose tooth Pamela had a course of treatment with a dental therapist to stabilise her oral hygiene and improve her overall oral health. This was followed by a course of tooth whitening to improve the colour of her remaining teeth. Two dental implants were then placed in to Pamela’s lower jaw. The implants which would support a ceramic bridge which would close the gap left by the extracted tooth and restore her chewing ability. To complete her treatment Pamela had six crowns fitted to her front teeth, whilst her old silver fillings were replaced with white composite ones. “I’m so pleased with my smile after treatment, it’s strange to see how it looked before. I’m really happy to show my teeth off now and I’ve even taken my first selfie to show my friends and family my new smile!”
Crowns & Bridges
"I am an NHS patient at Queensway dental clinic and was referred by my dentist as I wished to improve the cosmetic look of my smile. I had crowns on my front teeth 20 years ago due to discolouration of my natural teeth. The crowns did not match and had been repaired. I also had
an unnatural looking bridge at the back of my mouth covering a missing tooth. I hated my smile as my teeth were very crooked and I was very self-conscious about it. I was also unhappy with the overall colour of my teeth and wanted a brighter smile. The dentist was very friendly and put me at ease straightaway, he explained everything fully and was very confident that he could drastically improve the overall look of my smile. The treatment plan I went ahead with involved a course of whitening, the replacement of two front crowns and a replacement bridge. I love my new smile. My teeth look so much straighter and brighter but still look very natural. I can’t believe the difference, I never thought it was possible for me to have such a nice smile. The service I have received has been excellent! I was informed every step of the way and consulted over every detail. I was also put at ease as I was nervous about the treatments. I would absolutely recommend Queensway to my friends and family! The service is professional, affordable and the results are fantastic!”

This patient had crowns to the upper teeth to restore the smile.

“I’d had my front tooth crowned twice before, the first time the crown had come off and after having it refitted I was aware that it didn’t ever feel very secure. For two years I had been apprehensive that it was going to come off and was particularly conscious eating, especially on
holiday, as I was wary it would come off and I wouldn’t be able to get to a dentist. My sister, who had been referred to Queensway for treatment, had recommended that I book an appointment and I trusted her recommendation. It was also important for me, as an anxious patient, that Queensway was able to offer me sedation during my treatment. I was very happy with the suggested treatment plan and decided to go ahead and have my crown replaced. I am now nearing the end of my treatment and the service I had received so far has been excellent. During the initial stages of my treatment the colour match for my crown was taken by the team from Queensway Dental Lab, and after having it fitted the technicians came back to see the crown in place. It was excellent that they were able to come over to see the final result, and what a great job they had done. The colour match against the rest of my teeth is fantastic. My sister couldn’t even tell which tooth I’d had crowned the match was so good. I have also seen the hygienist as part of my treatment and I’m very pleased with the overall results. I can honestly say that my teeth look so much better than they ever have done. I feel so much more confident, I’ve since been on holiday too and it was such a difference to be able to eat what I wanted and not be afraid to lose my crown.”

I found out about Queensway whilst attending sixth form. A handful of people were receiving treatment at Queensway and the feedback I heard from them was always extremely positive. My teeth were very gappy and some of them were wonky and therefore I never smiled in pictures
and always tried to hide my teeth when I could. I was a little bit apprehensive about starting my treatment because I was just starting university at the time and having braces made me a little bit self-conscious however I knew it was for the best in the long run. After 14 months of wearing braces, I can genuinely say getting treatment at Queensway was the best choice I have ever made and would recommend the practice to everyone. Guy Deeming and my Queensway Dentist were absolutely amazing and made you feel comfortable from the first day. The treatment went completely to plan and appointments were always on time. I love my new smile and with job interviews coming up, I am a lot more confident. If I could give anyone in my position some advice if deciding to get treatment I would say, 'think of the bigger picture, you are never too old to sort your smile out and when you do, it is the best feeling ever!’

"I had been referred to Queensway by my dentist a few years ago for sedation. I had spoken to my Queensway dentist at the time about options for improving my smile in the future. So when I decided the time was right, I made the appointment to go back to Queensway. I knew
before even coming for my consultation that I really wanted something doing with my teeth, and even though I was anxious, my mind was already made up about going ahead. I decided to have ceramic bridges to replace gaps and old crowns and chose to have this done with sedation. I’m really happy with my smile now. My anxiety is improving but I definitely couldn’t have had it done without sedation. I’d had a denture for about 20 years before having my treatment, I’m so pleased I don’t have to wear it anymore. I couldn’t fault the service throughout, it’s been really good."
I have been a patient of Queensway Dental Clinic since I moved to Billingham over thirty years ago. I was concerned that the dark cement which secured my bridges made my teeth look grey. As a long standing patient I trusted Queensway, so I decided to go ahead with treatment to have the
bridges removed and replaced with new ones. The staff at the clinic have always been very pleasant and welcoming, and the service I have received has been excellent. My smile looks lots better, and has given me more confidence when I laugh, it’s what it used to be when I was younger.”
Replacement Crowns & Bridges
"I have been to other dentists and spent a lot of money on treatment in the past but I was still really disappointed with outcome. I had contacted Queensway previously for an appointment for my mum, so I decided to go there too. My consultation was wonderful. My Queensway
dentist was so professional and really caring. From start to finish it was a completely different experience to any dentists I have visited before. It was my dentist’s professionalism and what he could do for me that made my mind up to go ahead with my treatment. He had discussed the options for my treatment involving a new procedure, which I was suitable for and I went for it. He was very competent and really put me at ease. Throughout the treatment I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort, it was absolutely fantastic. If you asked me how I feel about my smile now all I can say is ‘I have one!’ I hadn’t smiled with my mouth open to show my teeth for years, so it’s given me so much more confidence. The service has been first class. I just can’t fault anyone at the clinic. I have been to some private dental practices where I have felt it’s all been about money, but at Queensway it’s all about the patient. I would recommend them to everyone!"
"From the moment of my 1st appointment I felt like I was really looked after and they worked out exactly the best way forward for me individually. I’ve always felt like I couldn’t smile confidently due to my missing teeth, but I enjoyed wearing my braces, getting more excited for the outcome.
I am so pleased with all the treatment, the way the team have been lovely with me and I love my new look (and all the compliments I’ve been getting)." Following her brace treatment Abbie had two bridges fitted to close two gaps either side of her front teeth.

“I was relieved to get some answers and be able to start treatment. I knew from the beginning that it wasn't going to be a quick fix, but I was happy to persevere and the outcome has exceeded my expectations, not only in terms of appearance, but I now have long-term stability for my teeth.”
Gillian's treatment included a dental implant to replace a missing tooth along with new crowns and bridges to complete her smile.
Now 68 years old, I have been visiting Queensway Dental Clinic since I was 16. I’d noticed that my teeth were beginning to move, it seemed like one half were going in one direction and the other half were going in the other, so after discussing it with my regular dentist she
recommended that I see her colleague for a consultation. During my consultation I also saw Orthodontist, Dr Guy Deeming. It wasn’t until speaking to both Guy and my Queensway Dentist together that I understood what was happening with my teeth and the options that were available to me to improve my smile. Overall the treatment I had was quite complex, and involved wearing fixed braces for 11 months and replacing old crowns, yet everything was surprisingly painless. I visited the clinic regularly over the 19 months of my treatment and the staff were always so encouraging and very helpful. I was so used to not smiling that it was very strange at first, however a smile comes very naturally to me now! I live locally to the practice so I feel very lucky to have access to everything Queensway can offer virtually on my doorstep!
Upper Arch Makeover
This patient had a full upper arch makeover of worn teeth and replacement lower denture. The results have restored the smile and given improvement to facial support.
“I was referred to Queensway Dental Clinic by my dentist at Victoria Dental Practice in Darlington as I had problems with gum disease. After visiting for a consultation I was given a treatment plan which involved a repair to my lower gum, a thorough clean and the removal of a loose front
tooth which was replaced with a ceramic bridge.” “My smile now is terrific. The results are well beyond my expectations. The service I have received from my dentist at Queensway and his team has been first class throughout.”
I wanted to have straight looking teeth but did not want to wear braces and did not want crowns or ceramic veneers that could weaken my teeth, instead I opted for composite directly bonded to my teeth, this procedure only took one visit and my teeth were not damaged or weakened as a
result, I am delighted with the care my dentist has provided me and I would recommend him to anyone.
Jill had orthodontic treatment as an adult, but because she had quite triangular shaped teeth she was left with a residual black triangle between her front two teeth which she disliked and the orthodontist was unable to change. After discussing all they treatment options with her
Queensway dentist she decided best treatment was to have direct composite bonding to close the gap, Jill says “I was delighted with the new appearance of my teeth after the composite bonding because I was never quite satisfied with the result after the braces, I would recommend my dentist to anyone considering dental treatment”
With concerns about her smile this patient visited Queensway Dental clinic. A missing front tooth had caused this her canine tooth to move towards the front of her mouth, making the tips of her teeth look uneven. She also had a gap between her front teeth which she didn’t like.
After a consultation the patient decided to go ahead with a suggested course of treatment involving composite direct veneers. The dentist said ‘Composite direct veneers were placed on the front teeth to alter the size, shape and colour of the teeth. Using composite allowed me to improve the teeth without the need for drilling into healthy enamel or other tooth structures. As a 'tooth friendly' treatment composite bonding is also totally reversible if required.”
After suffering some sensitivity from his teeth this patient visited Queensway Dental Clinic for an examination. The examination revealed some gum recession and wear of the dentine on the roots of three upper side teeth, caused by abrasive toothpastes and some heavy tooth brush
use. A new technique was used to restore the teeth which involved first sand blasting the teeth to clean and roughen the tooth surface, removing the need to use a drill. The teeth were then individually restored using a new layered bonding system, involving the use of tooth-coloured composite resin to repair each tooth. This technique increases the longevity of the composite fillings in comparison to regular bonded fillings.
Concerned with the appearance of her smile Claire visited Queensway Dental Clinic after a recommendation from her sister. “I came to Queensway Dental Clinic for an initial consultation with Dr Will Carter, and I was really happy with the treatment plan he provided for
me. I paid for my treatment interest free over 12 months which was a really convenient option for me, and made the cost of treatment completely manageable.” Claires treatment plan involved direct bonding onto the front teeth to change both their colour and contour. This would also reduce the gaps between the teeth meaning Claire would not require veneers or braces to complete her smile. “Having a new smile has made such a difference to me. The service I received at Queensway was fantastic, all of the staff were really friendly. I would definitely recommend Queensway to anyone with concerns about their smile!”
Although he was generally happy with his teeth Calum he didn't like the small gaps in between them. His Queensway Dentist tailored a solution for him that fit within his budget and would not involve any invasive treatment on his natural teeth. Calum went ahead with enamel bonding
treatment which is a mouldable material with a paste-like consistency that can fill any gaps and change the shape and size of the teeth.
“My teeth were crooked at the front and had become quite chipped and worn. It’d bothered me for a while, but it wasn’t until my cousin recommended Queensway Dental Clinic to me that I decided to see what I could do about it. I saw a Queensway Dentist at the clinic
and discussed my options which included braces, composite veneers and ceramic veneers. I’d weighed up my choices and as the short treatment time suited me, I decided to go for composite veneers. The cost of the different treatment options was also something which affected my decision and the cost of composite veneers made them a really good option. Throughout my treatment my dentist was spot on, really professional. Both the dentist and nurse were really nice! I’m really happy with my treatment, my smile looks really good. I’m thinking about having composite veneers to my lower teeth now too.”
I had heard about Queensway through friends who had visited before. Initially, my teeth were not straight, particularly my bottom ones, so I thought braces would be a good option. I also had concerns about my top front teeth as they were quite flat due to acid erosion and teeth grinding,
so I looked into getting composite fillings after my braces came off. After speaking to the staff, I felt secure that I was making the right decision because each part of the process was explained to me. I was also able to spread my payments out across two years which was very convenient. The dentists and staff at both Queensway Dental Clinic and Queensway Orthodontics are so knowledgeable and helpful. I am very scared of dentists but I felt very secure in the hands of the staff at Queensway. They were friendly and approachable and always had time for me. After having braces and composite fillings, I am so pleased with my smile - it is amazing! I haven’t stopped smiling since my treatment! It was definitely worth the wait! The service from all staff was excellent. Communication was amazing and all members of the team are very caring. I would DEFINITELY recommend to everyone and have done already! :) The staff are truly masters of their craft and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth. Everything they do is amazing!"
This patient suffered from dental anxiety which had prevented them from regularly visiting the dentist. This had resulted in several decayed teeth that had become progressively worse over time. Using the latest 3M technology in enamel bonding this patient’s smile was restored, whilst
their dental anxiety was managed with conscious sedation.
Enamel Bonding following orthodontic treatment
'I have been a visiting Queensway for my dental care for about 20 years. I had looked in to options to improve the appearance of my teeth before but I hadn’t followed it through, so when I decided to
look in to it again my dentist referred me to Queensway Orthodontics. The process was really easy. My consultation with Dr Guy Deeming was really informative, and not as daunting as I had expected! I decided to go ahead with fixed braces, which I wore for 16 months. I then went back to my Queensway dentist after having my braces removed and had composite bonding to finish off my smile. The service has always been great, both the dental clinic and Queensway orthodontics have been fantastic, I’d recommend them both to anyone! The results have definitely been worth the time it’s taken, it’s also been money well spent!'

After falling from his bike and suffering trauma to his front teeth, Mark was referred by his family dentist to Queensway Dental Clinic for a consultation. Marks fall had severely damaged his 4 front teeth, which for Mark’s smile meant ‘There wasn’t one!’ Mark had had temporary
fillings placed after the original trauma to his teeth however he was unhappy with them as they discoloured regularly and looked unsightly. After an initial consultation Mark was recommended a course of treatment which would involve placing 4 ceramic veneers on to his 4 front teeth. Upon completion of treatment, which took two weeks, Mark said: “I am very happy with the treatment and service I received from the team at Queensway Dental Clinic. My dentist has made a 100% improvement to my smile! I would definitely recommend Queensway Dental Clinic to anyone, even if their concerns are minor, I don’t believe any job would be too small!” Mark will now return to his family dentist for his ongoing dental care.
Michelle was recommended to visit Queensway Dental Clinic by a friend. She had concerns about her teeth and smile and was particularly unhappy with cosmetic dental treatment completed some time ago. “I was so fed up with my teeth and smile and the problems I was experiencing.
I couldn’t keep wasting time and money trying to fix it, so coming to Queensway was my last option.” Michelle said that “My Queensway dentist listened and took me seriously. I was so overwhelmed during the consultation I was brought to tears! My main aim was to replace the four veneers fitted to my front teeth. The veneers had become discoloured and I had also suffered some infection to the roots. However, my dentist looked at the bigger picture and the long term effects of the treatment. He brought things to my attention I had never even been made aware of before, which is why I chose to go ahead with my treatment at Queensway.” The first aim of treatment was to correct Michelle’s bite and the spacing of the lower teeth. This would help ensure that when the replacement veneers where fitted the risks of them being damaged or lost was reduced. Michelle’s previous veneers had been adjusted to an uneven shape to fit around her lower teeth this meant a referral to Specialist Orthodontist Dr Guy Deeming at Queensway Orthodontics. “Guy was great! I felt really comfortable about my orthodontic treatment and was confident with what could be achieved. Having braces fitted also improved the way I cared for my teeth and as they weren’t very noticeable having them wasn’t an issue.” Michelle wore a fixed brace to straighten her lower teeth, close the spacing and correct the bite. This allowed Dr Lane to complete Michelle’s treatment by placing new veneers, and replacing her silver fillings with better looking white composites and ceramic onlays. The finishing touch was having simple ‘stick-on’ bridges fitted to replace two missing lower teeth all manufactured on site at Queensway Dental Laboratory.
Unhappy with the shape and colour of his teeth this patient visited Queensway Dental clinic for a consultation. He decided to go ahead with treatment to restore his smile by placing veneers on to his front teeth.
After visiting Queensway Dental Clinic for a consultation Terry decided to go ahead with treatment to restore his smile. After a thorough assessment, Terrys treatment involved bite equilibration, along with a diagnostic wax up and trial smile before he had the final veneers
placed on to his teeth.
This patient had veneers placed on to her 4 front teeth.
Richards treatment involved placing veneers on to the front 6 teeth, along with dental implants which would fill gaps in his smile.
David said “I'd always been self-conscious about my smile from being a teenager mainly due to the prominent gap in my two front teeth. I'd always wanted to get my smile corrected but had never got around to it. When the bridge on the top row of my teeth cracked I decided to get my whole
smile improved instead of just having the bridge fixed.” Dr Uzma Olbrich suggested a treatment plan for David which included a course of tooth whitening, veneers to the anterior teeth and also the replacement of the cracked bridge. This course of treatment would brighten the teeth and in particular even out the colour of the lower teeth. The placement of veneers to David’s anterior teeth would reduce the space between his two front teeth whilst also improving the shape and size of those on each side. Replacement of the bridge would benefit David both functionally and aesthetically. “I visited Queensway Dental Clinic a few months before my wedding. I wanted to be able to smile with confidence on my wedding photos and after talking with Dr Uzma Olbrich I was assured that treatment could be completed prior to my wedding day.” Happy with the proposed treatment plan David went ahead with his treatment. The manufacture of the veneers and bridge was completed on site at Queensway Dental Laboratory, ensuring both the quality of the lab items and the production times. “My treatment was complete before my wedding day and I was able to enjoy the day even more than I'd expected due to the added confidence my new teeth gave me. I beamed with pride on my wedding photos, which was amazing because for 35 years prior to that I'd always been very nervous when asked to smile for a camera.” David is now a regular patient at Queensway Dental Clinic, seeing Dr Uzma Olbrich for his routine dental appointments. “The staff at Queensway were excellent and I would recommend then without hesitation. They changed my teeth, which changed my smile, which changed my life. I'll always be grateful to them.
Peter had initially been referred to Queensway by his family dentist, however with running his own business time constraints had meant Peter didn’t proceed with his appointment straight away. After further thought Peter began researching to find a dentist who could provide a solution to the problems he had with his smile.
“My teeth were in a bad state, and I was beginning to have more problems when eating. I had realised that I was likely to need major dental work which encouraged me to look for a dentist able to carry out the treatment, which was why I came back to Queensway.” Peter visited Dr Paul Averley for an initial consultation and was suggested a treatment plan which would involve both upper ceramic crowns and bridge work, composite build ups and a lower partial denture. “I chose to go ahead with the recommended treatment as after meeting Dr Averley, I felt completely confident that both he and the Queensway team could deliver exactly what they said they could. As a business man I meet and speak to people daily, and I now enjoy smiling and flashing my teeth at people.
I had been given a partial denture to wear which would replace a missing tooth at the front of my mouth however, it was very uncomfortable to wear and I found it completely useless when I was eating. I thought my only option would be a dental implant so when I discussed it with my
dentist he mentioned Queensway to me and recommended that I visit. My partner looked online and saw that Queensway were having an open evening so we came along. I was pleasantly surprised with the open evening as the consultation I had was very thorough. My dentist was very nice, and he explained everything fully so I was able to leave knowing exactly what the treatment options available to me were. After considering my options I came back to Queensway having decided to go with a bridge instead of an implant. Since having the bridge fitted it’s made a world of difference. I’m over the moon with it, very pleased. The service I have received throughout has been very good, and from attending the open evening to completing my treatment I've had a very positive experience.
I’ve had lots of dental work carried out and was quite used to visiting the dentist, but a bad experience had really knocked my confidence. My husband was already a patient at Queensway and recommended that I visit. I knew that things would be bad but until my consultation I didn’t
realise how bad, and the treatment plan I was recommended included some quite complex dental work. But Dr Paul Averley took time to explain my treatment plan to me and it was because I felt confident in his ability and trusted both him and the team that I decided to go ahead. I saw Dr Tim Peach at the beginning of my treatment, for complex root canal treatment, and his manner was completely different to anything I had previously experienced. He was professional and always made me feel calm and at ease, allowing me to feel in control of what was happening. I have now completed my treatment at Queensway, but during the time I have been coming to the clinic the approach has been amazing. Even for minor dental work I have always been made to feel completely at ease and comfortable. I didn’t want a brilliant white smile or for people to ask me ‘Have you had your teeth done?’ and I have the smile I wanted. The results are great and my smile is completely natural. The service at Queensway has always been professional and the atmosphere is always very calming and friendly. My youngest son now also visits the clinic and I will continue to visit for my routine check-ups.
I initially heard about Queensway from my own dentist who had referred me to the practice once in the past for treatment on an abscess that was difficult to access. On this visit she had re-referred me as the abscess had returned and I would need replacement of a bridge with possibly
titanium implants. Therefore my initial referral was for more of a medical reason than a cosmetic one (i.e. my smile) although I have always disliked my natural teeth. After my initial consultation with my Queensway dentist I was given a very extensive and thorough breakdown of the surgery, cost and timescale that I would be undergoing, but I had been able to voice my concerns about my smile and colour of teeth etc. My dentist listened carefully and took it all on board and on my second consultation he had devised a totally different pathway for me that would not only cure the abscess, but also leave me with a brand new smile. I was really touched that he had gone away and given my case more thought and consideration. This was the main reason I chose to go ahead with the treatment, I realised I had found someone who was not simply “all about the money”. All of the staff from the reception staff and the lady who arranges the finance to the lovely professional dental nurse who assisted my dentist were pleasant, courteous and professional, they were a credit to the surgery. In the end I had treatment to remove a nasty abscess and then had all of my front upper teeth veneered and a replacement bridge and also all of my crowns replaced. I now feel confident of my smile because although I have always had really good dental hygiene my teeth really did not reflect this. I was always made welcome and treated with respect, it is a friendly atmosphere you have created in the practice and I feel I should mention once again my dentist’s nurse/assistant, she had a lovely manner and put me at ease in a stressful situation. I would recommend Queensway and actually already have!
Linda had complex treatment to restore her upper arch including crowns and dental implants, plus root canal treatment and filings.
Upper arch crowns
and veneers with 2 dental implants
I had broken a crown which couldn’t be fixed. My dentist had explained to me that my options would be to either look at a denture or dental implants. I was horrified by the thought of a denture but I knew someone who had had dental implants at Queensway, so when my dentist said
he would be able to refer me, I asked to be referred to there. My first consultation was really thorough. Overall the information I was given was a lot to think about, but everything I needed to know was there and I was given a good choice of different options and how much they would cost. After taking the information away to mull over I decided to go down the implant route. And I’m glad I did. The results are brilliant. (I’ve even been told to keep my mouth shut a few times, I’m forever grinning at people!). Overall it’s been totally and utterly painless. I’ve had no issues, no pain and no complaints about anything from the reception team (Steph is brilliant) to the dentist. You forget what your old teeth look like after you’ve completed your treatment but what I have now is how my teeth should have always been. I have no qualms about recommending people to Queensway. It was brilliant from start to finish and now I’m smiling at people!
Upper arch makeover with crowns
I came to Queensway as my teeth were all different colours – shades from white to grey. My NHS dentist had previously recommended Queensway to me to see if some work could be done which he could not carry out, so I knew about the treatment they could offer.
Mostly recently I have had ten new crowns, but I have had previous implant treatment at Queensway. Looking at my smile now it’s a great improvement – very natural – the teeth look your own. My Queensway dentist was very reassuring and gave me confidence. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and the service was good and efficient. The treatment was pain free too. I would recommend Queensway for a very professional experience and the time they spent with explanations and discussing any concerns.
I am absolutely petrified of the dentist so I’d begun looking online for a dentist who would be able to understand and help me to deal with my anxiety. After having several teeth removed I was looking for a practice that could also offer me more, and be able to give me a solution to
the gaps in my smile, which was when I came across Queensway. I came for my initial consultation. I really felt comfortable about my treatment with my dentist, because he explained exactly what he could do for me. He talked me through my options for receiving sedation, and was able to tell me exactly how many sessions it would take to complete me treatment. His nurse was fabulous. She is always absolutely brilliant at making me feel more at ease during my visits. I’m so pleased I suggested. My smile is brilliant! Coping with my anxiety is getting easier and easier each time I visit, and although I’m still very nervous I’d always come back to Queensway. The service from the whole team has been absolutely brilliant. After my recommendation I think some of my family and friends will also be en route to visit!" Christine's treatment involved replacing some of her old crowns along with upper and lower partial chrome dentures.
I was referred to Queensway initially for conscious sedation as my own dentist could no longer deliver this. My own dentist had tried everything to save a lower front tooth but when it was obvious that this was not possible, I was referred for a potential implant. During the consultation
at Queensway my options were clearly explained and I felt confident with my choice – it was either that or my long-awaited holiday to New Zealand! I’ve had several, lengthy courses of treatment, from extraction, implant, surgery to upper gum-line, replacement crowns and veneers. My dentist and all staff have been professional, friendly and supportive throughout my many visits to the clinic and following my treatment I feel confident! I’ve NEVER had such a presentable smile! On the whole, the service has been exemplary. I would certainly recommend Queensway to friends and family. I have had some complex procedures over the past few years and for someone with a real fear of ‘going to the dentist’ this would have been impossible. Knowing that I was going to receive conscious sedation, and also being greeted and treated in such a positive way made all those visits bearable. Also, anyone who sails (Laser II? RS?) knows that regardless of the outward signs of confidence, you can still be a quivering wreck inside, so thank you for not treating me like a fake! I love everyone at Queensway dearly, but I hope I don’t need to visit you again for a long while!!!
"I had always had problems with my teeth from a young age. At 17 I’d had caps fitted, but over the years my gums had begun to recede and my teeth had moved leaving me with gaps. I was so aware of my teeth that I didn't smile a lot! My husband was referred to Queensway by his dentist and it
was only when he came home and told me about it that I thought about booking an appointment. I knew I needed to do something about my teeth, but as my own practice didn't offer sedation I was absolutely petrified of going any further. I finally plucked up the courage to make an appointment and booked a consultation. I couldn't even bear to sit in the waiting room before my first appointment. I arrived 5 minutes before and spent the whole time pacing up and down the corridor until my dentist was ready for me to go in. As soon as I spoke to him he seemed to know exactly what I wanted. He took the time with me and listened to my concerns. From just speaking to him I had every confidence in his ability but it was great that he understood with how I felt. Knowing I was terrified of having treatment he spent a lot of time talking through everything with me, making sure I was aware of exactly what would be involved. It took time for me to gather the courage to move forward with my treatment but I never felt pressured or rushed to make a decision. He would always tell me to take my time and to give him a call if there was anything I needed to know. He also invited me to bring my husband along to my appointments too, which was excellent as I felt so much better having him there for support. Nothing ever seemed to be a problem for my dentist or his team. Looking back I can’t believe how things have changed. I used to stand in reception shaking like a leaf but now I’ve built such a good relationship with the team at Queensway that I can come in for my appointments, sit and chat to the girls on reception or see the hygienist, without feeling sick with nerves! My smile is amazing too and it’s been worth every penny! I’ve had so many lovely comments about it. I thought it might take a while to get used to but I absolutely love it. I even tell people ‘Look at my new teeth!’ I couldn’t say anything negative about my treatment at all. There have been so many positives I have taken from the whole experience and Ian and the team have been fab throughout!" The dentist said “When I first met Chris she was extremely anxious about all aspects of dental care. We spent a considerable amount of time looking at the different options and opted for a fairly minimal approach of crown replacement, tooth whitening and some small white filling replacements. In anxious patients it’s important to tailor their treatment to their needs and this can only be achieved with a thorough consultation process with a dentist. Following further diagnostic planning we are really pleased to provide Chris with a smile that suits her and could be delivered with the help of some conscious sedation. We are also very proud of Chris and how she coped in the early stages of working through her dental anxiety."
I first came across Queensway Dental Clinic online and as a nervous patient with a lot of dental problems, I was impressed by the treatments on offer and the easy travelling distance from my home. I decided to request a free consultation and this proved to be one of the
best decisions I have had to make. From first meeting I was helped to feel at ease and from that initial consultation I knew I was happy to go ahead with treatment. Before treatment I had lost a number of my natural teeth and had partial dentures which were ill fitting and uncomfortable. My remaining teeth were stained from years of smoking and I experienced recurring gum problems. At Queensway my treatment involved replacing all my upper teeth with All-on-4™ dental implants and while I have retained some of my lower natural teeth, some have also been replaced with implants. The dental surgery was carried out using conscious sedation and I can honestly say it was a painless and anxiety-free experience. Following the procedure, I have continued to receive treatment and advice from dental hygiene staff and I am overjoyed with the results. I cannot believe how it has improved my smile and my confidence. The service at Queensway is brilliant with a team who really seem to care about the patients. In particular, I need to mention my dentist and hygienist but also the dental nurses and the friendly receptionists, all of whom play a part in delivering the overall service. As a result of my experience, I will continue to receive my future dental care at Queensway and I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others.
After being referred to Queensway Dental Clinic by her dentist Carole saw a hygienist at the clinic before seeing a Queensway dentist. Carole’s treatment plan involved the removal of her top teeth, which were damaged and loose, and the placement of 4 implants in her upper jaw. These
4 implants would then support a permanent full upper arch bridge of 10 teeth meaning Carole would not have to wear a removable denture. As Carole had a limited amount of bone available the All on 4™ treatment was a great solution as she wouldn’t have been suitable for traditional implants. “The staff at Queensway are excellent and definitely the most professional outfit I have come across; both the hygienist and my dentist were great. I’m very happy with the results of my treatment. I now visit Queensway Dental Clinic as a regular patient, and it’s the friendliest dentist I have come across."
"I had a lot of missing teeth, which had been replaced with top and bottom dentures. I was really conscious of my teeth moving when I talked, and hated using the ‘sticky adhesive stuff’ to keep them in place. Which was why, after seeing an advert for Queensway in Wynyard
Hall magazine, I decided to come for a consultation. I didn't know what to expect when I came for the initial consultation. However my Queensway dentist provided me with a treatment plan and explained everything to me so I knew exactly what my options were. I knew in terms of both treatment time and cost it was something I wouldn't be able to do all at once, but together with my husband, who was very supportive and completely in favour of the treatment, we made it possible. I have been visiting Queensway for almost 3 years, and the treatment I have had has been very complex. I look back now and I can’t even remember wearing a denture, which is lovely. Looking at the before and after images of my treatment is absolutely fascinating. Nobody has actually said ‘Have you had your teeth done?’ and I think it’s because they look so natural. I’m really happy with how they look."
"I had always been blessed with good teeth, but side effects from medication I had been prescribed had caused me problems meaning my teeth had started to decay. I was referred to Queensway to have my decayed teeth removed, so I had known about the practice for some
time. After having my teeth removed I was provided with a set of NHS dentures; however I wasn't ever 100% happy with them. I really struggled with my lower denture as it would never stay stuck for long and I found it impossible to eat without removing it. It became a complete nuisance in public, making simple things like going out for the day or going to a friend’s house for something to eat really difficult. I had picked up a leaflet about dental implants during my previous visit to the Queensway and when I started experiencing problems I asked my dentist to refer me for a consultation. The team on reception were great and I managed to get an appointment that same week with a Queensway dentist. I was able to get my points of view across to him and trusted that he understood me. The nurse was also very nice indeed and the receptionists were professional but still very good fun. I must have visited the practice at least 20 times within the year and everyone was always fantastic. During my consultation my dentist explained all of the treatment options available to me which included replacing my denture, mini implants or All-on-4 dental implants. I made my decision instantly. I had come to the practice knowing what I wanted and the All-on-4 system offered me exactly what I was looking for. I would be able to get the permanent solution I wanted, all on the same day. The only aspect that I had to work around was the cost of the treatment, but all of the finance options were explained well and I was able to go ahead with my treatment choosing the most suitable option for me. My smile now is great. Obviously I wanted my teeth to look good but it was the functionality of my teeth which was most important to me. It’s made such a big difference socially, especially as I can go out for something to eat and not be worried or conscious of having to remove my denture. It’s marvellous. My family dentist has since retired so I now see my dentist and hygienist, for my routine dental care."
"I heard about Queensway when my children had some dental work carried out under sedation. I had also heard many good things from friends. When I first came to the surgery I was very pleased with how professional the staff were. They were not judgmental and got the message
across about good hygiene without being patronising. This was like a breath of fresh air compared to anywhere I had been before. When the time came that I had lost a significant number of teeth I was introduced to my Queensway dentist. He carried out an examination and straight away he gave me many options for restoring my teeth. For the first time I came away feeling good about myself and that this could be a turning point for me. I knew from meeting him that I could trust him and could be confident in achieving a good end result. Supporting my dentist throughout the treatment was the dental nurse. She made me feel at ease and made sure that I was comfortable throughout my treatment. She also went out of her way to address a concern that I had and made me feel like my issue was important. When I had the implant surgery I have never been so well looked after in all my life (at the dentist). There are too many people to mention but all looked after me very well and looked out for my wellbeing. The treatment I had was the All on 4 for my upper teeth; I am so glad I had it done. This has given me new confidence in myself both professionally and personally. In fact, it has made a major difference to my quality of life. No longer am I in pain and can now eat many foods I did not think I could again. I have no hesitation in recommending Queensway to anyone. To sum up they have fixed my smile and have given me the tools to look after it for many years to come."
"I had been putting off going to the dentist for a long time. I had quite a few teeth missing and had been wearing a partial denture. However, my remaining teeth were starting to decay. I live in Billingham and frequent the shopping centre so I had seen the clinic before. I then went on to
Google search to find out more and make an appointment. I was very impressed with my dentist and nurse as they made me feel very relaxed. I was ashamed of the state of my teeth but my dentist reassured me that he could put a smile back on my face. I had All-on-4 dental implants at Queensway. I was very impressed with the results after my treatment, and my family could not believe how lovely they were; they say I have not stopped smiling. My speech is better too as my partial denture did not fit properly. I can also now enjoy eating properly too."
Jillian had treatment with All-on-4 Dental implants to restore her smile.
"The best part for me was being able to enjoy hot crusty rolls again! With wearing a denture I would never have contemplated this, especially when eating out at a restaurant, but now I can eat and smile confidently."
Amanda had 7 dental implants placed in the upper arch to support a fixed bridge. To allow the implants to settle she wore a temporary denture for 6 months. During that time she said that not one person knew it was a denture and friends and family had actually complimented her on her new 'veneers'!
"I cannot believe the difference All-on-4TM has made to my life and I have been astonished at the number of compliments I have received. My teeth look totally natural and my husband has commented that my teeth are back to what they used to be like."
"I had smoked for a long time but even after quitting 3 years ago I knew the damage I had caused to my gums was irreparable. My smile was something I was conscious of, even my family had said to me that when I smiled they could tell it wasn’t a proper smile. I began looking online for
somewhere that could offer dental implants and I came across Queensway. I’m from Hartlepool so after seeing what Queensway could offer, along with the fact that they were so close, it was a no brainer. Queensway was the best choice. I had an initial consultation with my Queensway dentist at the clinic. He was fantastic; everything has been fantastic. My dentist explained everything to me and throughout treatment he and the team pretty much held my hand every step of the way. The treatment I decided to go ahead with was dental implants to support a bridge of 10 upper teeth. As part of the treatment I needed to have teeth removed, and I can honestly say that little scratch on the back of my hand was excellent; I didn’t feel a thing! I can’t believe how good my smile looks now; I feel fantastic, and it’s as simple as that. I won’t miss wearing a denture or having to clean it at all! It’s frightening to think about how many years it’s been since I smiled properly. I feel so much more confident. I feel rejuvenated. I haven’t eaten corn on the cob since I started treatment and really missed it, so I can’t wait to put one on the BBQ! Queensway is 11/10!"
Patricia had All-on-4 treatment to her upper arch at Queensway Dental Clinic.
"I chose to go ahead with my treatment for a few reasons. After my initial check-up, the dentist explained everything in detail, what was wrong with my teeth and the options which could be taken to correct them. I was under no pressure, I felt reassured and confident that the work could
be done professionally and on completion I would have my smile back."G
After visiting Queensway for a further consultation with specialist maxillofacial surgeon Mr Rob Banks it was suggested a delayed implant approach treatment plan would be the most suitable option for Gayle. This would involve the placement of a conventional bridge, supported by 6 implants in her upper jaw. A further
two implants would then be placed into her lower jaw to support her bite. This would allow Gayle to retain her remaining teeth, and would give the most natural looking smile. The implant supported bridge, which would be manufactured on site at Queensway Dental Laboratory, would remove the need for Gayle to wear a denture by offering a permanent solution to Gayle’s concerns. Gayle went ahead with her treatment which took just over a year to complete. Queensway Dental Laboratory used 3D CAD and CAM design and production to manufacture the custom bridge, using Nobel Biocare software and planning. Gayle said “I feel great about my teeth now, they’re fabulous. I feel like I can actually smile! I am also very pleased with how the bridge looks. I don’t feel like I have false teeth as they look completely natural."
George attended Queensway because he fractured his old bridge and front tooth and was unable to wear a removable denture that had been made for him via the NHS. George decided that the best way to improve his bite and appearance was to have dental implants placed to replace
his missing two front teeth. The two implants were linked together for extra strength because George has a strong bite and history of tooth wear. His Queensway dentist carried out all treatment for George and provided him with a splint to wear at night which protects his teeth from further wear.
"I visited Queensway after it had been recommended to me by friends. I had quite a severe infection in my jaw bone, and as they had been very satisfied with their treatment it encouraged me to visit the clinic myself. The dental work I had carried out at Queensway
turned out to be very complicated, but after completing it I feel absolutely great about my smile. My dentist and the staff at the clinic were all very pleasant and professional and succeeded in making me feel relaxed throughout my treatment. I visited the clinic around 16 times during my treatment and always received good service. I have never been disappointed and have already recommended Queensway to others."
"I had old NHS crowns on my front teeth which had started to discolour and were quite noticeable. I had spoken to my daughter, who is a dental nurse, about finding out if I there was anything I could do about them, and she suggested visiting Queensway Dental Clinic.
I came for my consultation and was given lots of information and options. It was the fact that after meeting the dentist and the team I really believed in what they could do for me that made me decide to go ahead with the treatment plan. I could even pay for my treatment with an interest-free payment plan which was great. The treatment was brilliant! My smile is so much better, I love my teeth. I have been backwards and forwards to the clinic for various appointments throughout my treatment and the service has always been excellent."
Mr Douglass had suffered trauma to his mouth resulting in a fracture to his front tooth. Unable to tolerate wearing an NHS removable denture he visited Queensway Dental Clinic. As Mr Douglass wanted a long term solution he decided a dental implant was the best option for him.
I was referred to the Queensway dental Clinic by my regular dentist as he was not qualified to offer dental implants. I had had a crown fitted many years ago on my front tooth which was now discoloured and loose. I was nervous about using my front tooth to bite into anything like an
apple and usually smiled with my mouth closed. My dentist at Queensway was very reassuring, I had lots of x rays taken and decided to go ahead with a dental implant. The service I received at Queensway was very professional and caring. The surgery is very modern, using state of the art dental technology and equipment. Now I feel much more confident about smiling and I am able to eat anything. I would definitely recommend Queensway Dental Clinic to anyone with concerns about their teeth and smile.
I’d had my front tooth knocked out and replaced with a partial denture. Although the denture filled the gap I found eating with it in place really difficult. I was also conscious, because it was my front tooth and such a big part of my smile, that it was really obvious. I had asked around
amongst my friends and family, and my sister who already visits Queensway had recommended the clinic to me. I arrived for my consultation and the clinic and its clean and professional looking premises instantly reassured me. My dentist was really easy to talk to, and his professionalism gave me confidence that he would do a good job. I decided to go ahead with an implant which would replace the tooth I’d had knocked out. I had a few appointments at Queensway throughout my treatment which involved seeing my dentist, and also visiting Queensway Dental Lab. Dean Brew from Queensway Dental Lab was responsible for making the crown which would replace my missing tooth and he did a great job, it looks completely natural. My smile now is superb! It’s really improved my confidence and I’m no longer conscious of my front tooth. The service has been brilliant, I work away but have never had any problems or issues making appointments to fit around my job.
"I first heard about Queensway dental practice from my mum. She was really impressed with the treatment she had carried out and recommended that I go there. I was really unhappy with the bridge false tooth I had. I had it put it when I was about 16 and after 10 years it all of a sudden came
unstuck and I was mortified about the huge gap I had right next to my front tooth. I got it stuck back in but every so often it would fall out and I was beyond upset when it fell out the day before my sister’s wedding! I rang up Queensway and was so impressed that Will was able to see me the same day. He stuck it straight back in and I was so happy didn’t have a horrible gap for the wedding! I realised then that I had to have something more permanent fitted in as I wasn’t happy living with the constant worry of knowing it could fall out at any time. I was so happy with the service I received from Will that day- he spoke through the possible procedures that I could have to make the tooth more permanent- that I decided to have my treatment carried out with him. I’ve always dreaded going to the dentist but Will made me feel so comfortable and at ease. After discussing having an implant I decided that this was the procedure I wanted to go through with. The procedure itself wasn’t as traumatic as I thought it would be and whilst waiting few months to see whether the implant had taken I also decided to try a teeth whitening procedure that Will recommended. I was happy with the results of the teeth whitening and when my final fake tooth was made and put into the implant I couldn’t believe how fantastic it looked. The detailing and time they took over the false tooth was clear to see. I was extremely happy with the end result. All the staff at Queensway are always friendly and welcoming and every time I phone up the girls are always so helpful. I would definitely recommend Queensway to my friends and family. A big thank you for everything!"
"I had a crown fitted to my front tooth and although I was never entirely happy with it, it didn't bother me too much until the root became infected. I lived with it for a long time knowing that I needed work doing, but I kept putting it off. It wasn't until the infection became
really unbearable that I made an appointment with a dentist. The dentist I visited explained how complicated my case was and that I would need to see someone more experienced to carry out the treatment as he would be unable to. My mum had told a colleague about the problems I had been having and they had recommended Queensway to her. So it was actually my mum who told me about the clinic and booked me a consultation. My consultation was excellent, so in-depth and thorough. My dentist made lots of notes for me and talked me through the treatment he could offer. It was really assuring to know that something could actually be done. As the infection had been there so long it meant the treatment I would need would be very complex. It was a lot to take in but with all of the information and notes I was given, I was able to go home and could show my mum and dad. Having something to refer back to made explaining it to them a lot simpler. There was never a question about going ahead with the treatment and I am beyond happy with the results. The service I have received has been absolutely perfect. Each stage has gone like clockwork. I had my crown made by Queensway Dental Lab and I don’t think anyone would be able to tell which tooth I have had replaced!"
Karen had a single front tooth replaced with a dental implant.
Sarah visited Queensway Dental Clinic to see following a recommendation made by a family member. “I had a cycling accident in August 2012 where I went over my handlebars and landed on my chin knocking out one of my front teeth and killing the other at the root with the impact."
As the success of the procedure would permanently affect the way I look and it was quite a big, complicated and traumatic job, I wanted to go somewhere I trusted and Paul was highly recommended.” Sarah’s accident led to the loss of one front tooth and severe damage to the other one. Following an initial consultation, Dr Paul Averley suggested a treatment plan for Sarah which involved root canal treatment to restore the damaged tooth. Root canal treatment would avoid the need for extraction, meaning a veneer could be placed on to the tooth to improve its appearance. An implant supported crown was then placed to close the space left by the missing tooth. “My front teeth have always been quite long and had white stains on them so my new teeth are even better than before my accident! People often comment on how good a job had been done, they look so natural. The service I received from Queensway was consistently good throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend Queensway Dental Clinic to anyone.
Following orthodontic treatment this patient had a single implant to replace a missing tooth, along with enamel bonding and a replacement veneer.
Single Implant Crown
"I fell and knocked my front tooth in half when I was about 17. I had always looked after my teeth, and up until then I was happy with my smile. However it started to cause problems over the years and really knocked my confidence. I had a veneer placed when I was 21, but it only lasted
a day before it had fallen off. I then had the tooth crowned which lasted about a year before that came off too, and I had to have it put back on. From then it completely changed my mind set. I was always anxious it would fall out, especially as it was my front tooth. I would even have nightmares about it falling out; it totally took over my life. I was recommended to Queensway by my dentist, as he thought I should consider an implant as a long term option. I had my first consultation, and was really happy with the treatment plan and all of the information I was given. I thought about the treatment for about a month, mostly because of the financial aspect. However I decided to go ahead with the treatment at Queensway as, although I had visited another dental practice for a consultation, I felt comfortable at Queensway and had confidence in the dentist. My smile is fantastic now. I had a dental implant to replace my problem tooth and had to have root canal treatment to my other front tooth. I also had some whitening to brighten up my teeth. I didn’t want an ‘American’ smile, so I’m really pleased with the results. The service has been fantastic. The staff have always been polite and professional, really warming. They were all really accommodating, and it made the experience better."
With concerns about the fit of her denture, Maureen from Sedgefield visited Queensway Dental Clinic for a consultation. “I used to live in Billingham, so I have always been aware of the Queensway. However it wasn’t until I had teeth extracted and was provided with a denture, that I
was recommended to see a dentist at the clinic. The denture I had felt loose and when I was eating or speaking I could feel it beginning to slip. I spoke about my treatment options with my dentist who suggested mini implants as a solution to my concerns. He explained that they would provide the stability I was looking for when eating and speaking, but would still allow me to remove my denture. I was confident in my dentist's ability and I was happy that the treatment options he provided me with would give me the solution I was looking for. I chose to go ahead with mini implant treatment which was definitely the best option for me. I am very happy with the results of my treatment now, and feel much more confident about my denture. The service I received at Queensway has been marvellous, I have been able to make appointments easily and know that if I have any concerns I can speak to the staff about them easily and with confidence."
This patient had mini implants to retain both upper and lower dentures.
BTX to improve a high smile line. "I came to see Rebecca for an excess gum show of 8mm. I had been to various specialist in the hope of treating this. All my previous consultations resulted in the only option being to have quite invasive surgery. However, after doing research myself,
I came across Botox being used to treat this. After hours and hours of searching for trained specialists who did this I came across Rebecca at Queensway Skin Clinic."
BTX to soften the central line but still allow some natural movement.
BTX to smooth lines.
These teeth were damaged by wear, acid erosion and heavy brushing with abrasive toothpastes and some clenching. After carrying out some preventative advice and treatment to reduce this patient’s risk of further damage. Dr Will Carter then changed the visual length of the teeth by recontouring the gum. This process, often called
‘crown lengthening’ or ‘gum recontouring’, can be carried out using electrocautery device, laser or traditional surgery. The enamel and dentine were then repaired using ceramic bonded to the teeth to give a healthy middle-aged appearance.

Treatment began with Fiona seeing Queensway’s Specialist Orthodontist Dr Guy Deeming where she was fitted with braces which were worn on the top and bottom set of teeth for 18 months to straighten the teeth. Being ceramic, they were hardly noticeable and were the first stage of the journey towards the smile she had always
wanted. Upon completion of her orthodontic treatment, she required crown lengthening on two teeth and a dental implant to fill the gap that she had always disliked.
E.max Ceramic Crown
After an initial consultation at Queensway Dental Clinic Julie decided to go ahead with treatment to replace her old crown with a new ceramic one which would be manufactured by Queensway Dental Laboratory. Based on-site at the clinic in Billingham, Queensway Dental Laboratory works closely with the team at Queensway Dental Clinic
to produce a high standard of laboratory work for patients. Having Queensway Dental Laboratory on-site meant that Julie was able to benefit from an entirely bespoke service throughout each of the stages of her treatment. “It was a really encouraging experience knowing that the dental team work so closely with the dental laboratory. Having Dean take the shade himself made me feel like they were really going the extra mile and spending the time to make something perfect for me. He even told me that my teeth were the whitest on the natural colour scale, which made my day! Now I have had the crown fitted I couldn’t be more pleased. It looks perfect, just like a natural tooth. I couldn’t believe how great the match was. I would tell anyone who was conscious of something like this to just go for it and book a consultation."
7 Unit Ceramic Bridge
This patient came to Queensway looking for a fixed solution to his false denture, which he felt 'stuck out'. He went ahead with treatment to restore his smile with a 7 unit ceramic bridge which would blend in with his other natural coloured teeth. The bridge was manufactured by Queensway Dental Laboratory.
Crowns & Ceramic
"I had two crowns on my front teeth following a bike accident which were about 20 years old. I started to become more and more conscious of them as they had become really discoloured and were very prominent at the front of my mouth. I had a massive fear of the dentist. So much so that
I’d paid for a Denplan membership for two years but hadn’t actually visited the dentist once. So after realising that the way my teeth looked was really starting to make me feel depressed - I wouldn’t ever be in photographs with my friends – I decided to do something about it. To people who didn’t know me it must have looked like I had a face like thunder as I would never smile and show my teeth. I did some research online and came across Queensway. I knew I needed to regain my confidence with a dentist, and I didn’t trust the places that offered a quick fix, which was why I chose Queensway. My initial consultation went really well, and really brought my confidence up. I was given options for treatment and also of ways to help me relax. I was able to choose to have sedation for some of my treatment too, which was fabulous. I had two sessions with the hygienist which I did without sedation - it took a lot of courage but I knew it was important to make sure my gums and mouth were healthy before starting the rest of my treatment. Friends won’t stand next to me in photos now, my smile is fantastic! I’m much more confident when I talk to people. I’ve told everyone about my new smile, all of my friends and even my customers at work. I’ve also joined Queensway as a Denplan patient, and I will attend my appointments this time -It’s taken too much hard work and courage not to!"
