Born in Yorkshire in 1967, Tim Peach spent most of his childhood in Lincolnshire where he went to Stamford School. He qualified at Newcastle Dental School in 1991, then worked in general practice for four years in Bedlington, Durham and South Shields before joining and then buying into a partnership in Wallsend.
He has always been committed to continuing postgraduate education, allowing him to practice the best modern dentistry has to offer, especially in his field of interest, endodontics (root fillings). How long have you worked at Queensway?

I joined Queensway in 2011 working every fortnight and then one day a week, restricting most of my work to Endodontics

What do you enjoy most about working at Queensway?

The team and members of staff. I enjoy the way Queensway works where all are highly trained and everyone has areas of special expertise for which many patients are referred both internally as well as from other practices. All the partners have an interest in ensuring patients receive the best care. This takes the dentists’ expertise to another level and can be very rewarding.

Where would a patient find you?

In a room looking down a microscope into a patient’s root canal system. Or in Greggs when in Billingham at lunchtime...

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Achieving the great results that are possible when patients invest in the best dental care. And having the ability, equipment and staff to be able to meet and even exceed those expectations.

What do you enjoy doing out of work?

Spending time with family or friends, being active or watching sport. Through the 1990s, I played scrum-half for Medicals RFC - the world's finest rugby club. I captained the club in 1992/3 and played at Twickenham in the Pilkington Shield winning side of 1996. I have coached youth rugby since 2007 and now keep fit running, cycling and playing real tennis and golf.

What makes you smile?

Seeing our children having fun doing what they enjoy. And being greeted by the dog and his wagging tail when I arrive home.
