GDC Number: 165040

Donna started working at Queensway Dental as a Dental Nurse in 2008. After working here for just over a year, she decided she wanted to further her career in dentistry and was successfully accepted on the Dental Hygiene and Therapy course at Teesside University. In 2013, after three years full time studies, she graduated with a BSc Honours degree and returned to Queensway Dental Clinic as a Dental Therapist. In this time has completed the SAAD Inhalation Sedation course which enables her to provide inhalation sedation for anxious patients.

Jenny Morrison

Dental Therapist

Dip DHT (Ncl)

GDC Number: 184083

Jenny has spent 10 years working in the dental field, having started as a dental nurse in 2008 in Newcastle. She graduated as a Dental Therapist at Newcastle University with a Diploma in dental hygiene and therapy and gained SAAD qualification in inhalation sedation in 2013. Before joining Queensway in 2013, Jennie spent a year and a half working at Teesside University as a clinical supervisor.

Where would a patient usually find you in the practice?

In the main building in Surgery 9 working alongside our fabulous NHS team.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Managing to treat extremely anxious patients (both adults and children) effectively, when a patient thanks me for helping them, smiles after treatment and feels confident coming to see me or when children skip into the surgery and their parents tell us they love coming to see us.

What do you enjoy doing out of work?

Working out - I enjoy high-intensity interval training classes and running during the week. Spending time with family (sometimes this is limited due to the hour commute to/from work each way) and I also love travelling when I take annual leave - I love visiting new places but a favourite would be Santorini.

What makes you smile?

My family - I have a big family and love spending quality time with them, my friends - particularly my fellow dental therapists at QDC as I am guaranteed to laugh every day and a close third would be peanut butter!
