Changes to NHS Dental Care at Queensway

There are some changes coming at Queensway Dental in Billingham which we’d like to inform our patients about.

Out of courtesy, when we have seen patients at the practice this month, we have taken the opportunity to make them aware of the changes, however, please be assured that all patients will be receiving a letter next week from their dentist with the full details and the relevant information regarding our patient plans and options.

Ahead of the official announcement, we would like to inform you of the following:

  • Our contract with the NHS for general dental care services will cease on the 31st March 2018
  • We will continue to offer specialist oral surgery and specialist orthodontics (braces) for NHS patients referred from their own dentist
  • After 1st April 2018, you will be welcome to access dental care at Queensway on a private basis
  • We will be offering all children under the age of 18 preventative dental care free of charge with a parent or guardian who signs up to a Queensway patient plan

Please note, all NHS dental appointments booked before 1st April 2018 will remain the same. NHS courses of treatment started before 1st April 2018 will be completed as planned.

After 25 years of providing NHS dental services in our local community, we hope you understand that it has not been an easy decision to make. We believe we are no longer able to deliver the very high standard of care in dental services which we pride ourselves upon via an NHS contract.

If you have any queries in the meantime, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us direct on 01642 554 667 or pop in to see us at any time for advice.
