We’re spoilt for choice when it comes to filters, from Instagram’s Valencia to Snapchat’s beauty filters, yet people in the North East are confident to go without.
In a recent survey, when asked if they tend to post photos on social media with or without a filter, a whopping 79% of people in our region said without.
Whether it’s selfies, family photos, scenic shots of North East beauty spots, a dishy plate of food at a city centre restaurant, crazy cocktail creation in a bar or another type of memory being captured, we’re choosing to share them authentically as they are.
Queensway’s mission is to create confident smiles, so we wanted to find out how confident we really are in our region when posting snaps of ourselves and our experiences.
Dr Paul Averley, partner at Queensway, said: “We’d like to think these positive results show that our region encourages confidence within one another, just as we do in our mission to create confident smiles. For us this goes way beyond the smile itself, as it’s also about what is behind the smile, which is really what makes a confident smile.”
North East television personality and presenter Scarlett Moffatt recently became a patient of ours after wanting to improve her smile.
Scarlett commented on the survey results: “Today we live in a world where it can be really difficult to be confident so I’m absolutely delighted to hear nearly 80% of the North East population are confident to post on social media without a filter! I’m currently in the early stages of my smile journey at Queensway Dental and I can’t wait to see the results, to have the confidence to smile and show my teeth will be amazing.”
Our vision here at Queensway is to be a sustainable business that cares for its people and patients for the next 100 years and that we remain at the top of technological advances, ultimately creating confidence within our patients.
