Queensway achieves dementia friendly status

We are delighted to announce we have received our Dementia Friendly accreditation, which was presented by Brian Rowcroft from Dementia Friends Stockton.

To achieve the accreditation, Queensway staff had to set out how they will work in a dementia friendly way, raise awareness of dementia and meet the seven criteria points set by the Alzheimer’s Society.

Welcoming the accreditation, clinical governance lead, Colette Meek, said: “We fully support the Dementia Friendly Community concept and a lot of work has been undertaken internally to ensure that staff at Queensway fully understand the challenges faced by people living with dementia and the wider implications it can have.”

Queensway Dental will be listed on the Stockton Dementia Friends page as a dementia friendly practice.
