Queensway finds more ways to make people across Teesside smile!

MAKING people smile is what the team at Queensway Dental in Billingham do best.

But thanks to their generous donation to The Teesside Family Foundation (TTFF), they are taking their mission to get people beaming with delight one step further!

Queensway have become a Captain James Cook Corporate Partner of TTFF, which enables businesses to donate £10,000 per year to local good causes, from grassroots sports to caravan holidays for those people who have fallen on hard times.

The dental clinic, which is also a regular supporter of local food banks, was looking for a charity to focus on and was impressed with the way TTFF distribute donations to a wide range of worthwhile causes in the area.

Dr Ian Lane, Managing Partner at Queensway Dental, said: “We are really delighted to be on board as a corporate partner of The Teesside Family Foundation.

“We were really keen to team up with a local charity and make a meaningful difference within our community.

“When we found out about The Teesside Family Foundation and the support they can offer families in our area, we just had to get on board and help. We are really pleased to be able to be part of something that is making a difference to people’s lives.”

In the past, Queensway has never had only one sole charity that it works with, instead donations were made ad-hoc at the request of staff members or patients.

For 2021 they decided to build a relationship with just one charity, by making a regular contribution whilst still having the flexibility to get involved with a range of different projects.

“We wanted to really focus on and commit to one cause and help as much as we could,” said Dr Lane.

“We like the charity’s motto of ‘we look after our own’ and directly helping people in our area that have fallen on hard times – given the circumstances of the last year with the pandemic, it seemed more important than ever to get involved.”

Other charitable causes Queensway have been involved with recently have included donating essential PPE during the pandemic to small businesses, donating emergency appointment fees to Harbour and supporting the local food bank.

“As a business we’ve always been very charity driven, with a focus on giving back to the local community,” said Dr Lane.

“It’s nice to see a lot of the things The Teesside Family Foundation do, whether it’s supporting local sports clubs, giving a random act of kindness to someone deserving, or providing a caravan break for a family in need.

“Just being able to be part of anything that puts a smile on people’s faces is what we are all about!”

Michael Poole, chair of trustees of The Teesside Family Foundation, said: “We are extremely grateful to Queensway Dental for their generous corporate sponsorship, which allows us to carry out our work supporting those less fortunate than ourselves across Teesside.

“We look forward to working with Queensway Dental throughout the year and helping them to spread a smile at a variety of charity events.”

The Teesside Family Foundation has different corporate sponsorship packages available, ranging from £1,000 to £10,000 per year.
