Queensway shortlisted for Company of the Year

QUEENSWAY Dental is delighted to announce it has been shortlisted for ‘Company of the Year’ at this year’s North East Business Awards.

Queensway, one of the largest dental care facilities in the whole of the UK – with practices in Billingham, Darlington and Jesmond – will be going head-to-head with Teesside businesses at the regional heat on the 28th March at Teesside University, Middlesbrough.

The North East Business Awards are hosted by The Journal and The Gazette in association with North East England Chamber of Commerce and a host of sponsors. Split into three regions – Northumberland & Tyneside; Durham, Sunderland & South Tyneside; and Teesside – the winners from each regional category will progress to the Grand Final on the 16th May 2019 at Hardwick Hall Hotel.

Dr Paul Averley, partner at Queensway Dental took over the four-surgery dental practice in 1994, which has since expanded to over 30 surgeries in Billingham, Darlington and Jesmond. Queensway, which currently employs over 110 local people, can credit their success to both a hardworking, skilled workforce and a loyal local patient base. Due to their reputation built largely from word-of-mouth referrals, recommendations and patients telling their stories, the business attracts patients from throughout the UK and overseas due to their unique approach to dentistry – built on its people, technology and ethos.

He said: “Looking ahead, for 2019 we have exciting plans underway to expand our facilities for our patients and our employees in Billingham, with a dedicated dental implant suite, an expansion to our in-house dental laboratory and new and improved staff facilities.

To be shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s North East Business Awards is an achievement in itself and a testament – particularly as we enter our 25th year of business – to the team’s continued commitment in driving Queensway forward, not only in the North East but on a national level.”
