Smile update | January 2022

Happy New Year! We hope you have all had a lovely festive time and a relaxing break with your families and friends. For the team here at Queensway, it has been a time to refresh ourselves and we start the New Year feeling positive and excited. We are looking forward to beginning new smile journeys for patients and continuing with existing plans and routine care. As ever, our priority is for our patients’ smiles and oral health to continue to be the best that they can be.

With the current situation of rising Covid-19 cases in our area, we appreciate there may be times when our patients are unable to attend the practice. Please could we ask that you inform us as soon as possible if you are unfortunate enough to receive a positive Covid test or develop Covid-19 symptoms. This enables us to reschedule your appointments accordingly and give other patients the opportunity to attend instead.

We are trialling new technology to enhance our patient experience.

This month we are launching a new service at the practice to improve patient aftercare and communication. This will include a one minute health-check sent by SMS or email to ask how you are feeling after your visit and if you have any questions after your treatment to ask your dentist or hygienist.

It will allow us to send you a speedy response via text and we hope that it will reassure you that we are here if you need us – even after your treatment.  

Creating confident smiles is what we do best and we love to capture those smiles on camera at the end of each patient’s treatment. 

Finishing treatment is often a monumental moment for our patients as they see their new smiles for the first time.

In the past, a patient may have struggled to smile in photos and this is often a trigger point to start treatment in the first instance. This is why it’s so important for us to be able to offer our patients’ a before and after of their smile makeover so they can see how far they’ve come on their smile journey…
