Smile update | June 2021

Hello and welcome to the June edition of Queensway’s newsletter.

We hope you are all enjoying some fun in the long awaited sunshine!

Here at Queensway, June is off to get a great start following the launch of our latest campaign, Creating your Destination. The theme is all about ‘Making Queensway your Destination’ and how staying local as opposed to going abroad for dental treatment is very often the safest option especially following any treatment. You may have seen our advert on YouTube or heard the radio advert on Heart North East. We are always interested to hear stories of patients who have chosen Queensway rather than going abroad for treatment, or those patients who have come to see us to have dental work rectified, if you would like to be involved in this campaign then please contact communications@queensway.co.uk

We are all hoping over the coming months that the lockdown and restrictions will ease further, in the meantime, we continue to see a high demand for routine dental visits. We have been required to extend the length of appointments due to guidelines and protocols and we continuously revise the way we provide our care for you to ensure we are able to see as many patients as possible in a safe way. With this in mind, if you are joining us as a new patient, we ask that you please bear with us over the next few months as there may be a delay in us being able to provide your routine care. It is of upmost importance to prioritise our patients who are in pain or have complications.

The team here are very proud that we have remained open to care for our patients from the start of the pandemic however, we could not have done this without our wonderful team and the understanding and compliance of our patients. A huge thank you to all who have attended over the last year.

We hope to see you soon and in the meantime, stay safe and take care.

With best wishes,

Queensway Dental

Looking for a new smile this summer? Having dental treatment in the UK is a much safer option.

Make Queensway Dental your destination…

Since childhood, Nicole has been unhappy with her teeth but she felt the time was right for her to start smiling again!

Following tooth whitening and ceramic veneer treatment, Nicole’s childhood dream of having beautiful teeth has now come true…

“They’re perfect.” said Nicole.

Ceramic veneers are from £605 per tooth and have a lifespan of 10-15 years with the correct care.

Laura was unhappy with her smile for many years and didn’t like the thought of being the centre of attention on her wedding day.

Knowing that she was looking for a smile makeover with quick results, she booked a free video consultation with our treatment coordinator to discuss her concerns and options.

Now, following laboratory made PMMA veneers, Laura is smiling and getting ready to plan her long awaited wedding abroad.

Thanks to all our wonderful Instagram and Facebook followers who have recently had treatment at either our Billingham or Newcastle based practices and tagged @queenswaysmiles in their smiling selfies!

Each photo has been entered into our monthly selfie competition and the lucky winner will get to pick a £30 shopping voucher of their choice!

A huge, heartfelt well done to our Queensway team which took part in fundraising for Papyrus, the UK’s charity for the prevention of young suicide (under 35) during May.

We asked team members to take part in a 5k walk/run or bike ride throughout May or whip up some delicious treats for a bake sale at the practice and in total we raised £575.

Our donation will go towards the running costs of the helpline, text & email services, as well as specialist training for caregivers to provide suicide first aid interventions.

We hope to have helped raise awareness of this amazing charity.
