Smile update | November 2021

Welcome to November’s newsletter. We hope you are keeping well and that some of you took the chance for a break over the school half term and maybe even found a little bit of sunshine before we head into the winter months. As the evenings draw in, we’re looking forward to some cosy nights in the run up to Christmas.

Here at Queensway, we are set for another busy month, seeing new patients, and catching up with our regular patients. November sees the launch of our exciting Refresh campaign and over the next couple of months you will be seeing some new faces on our social media posts, and we’ll be launching some exciting competitions.

If you are thinking of present ideas for the festive season there will be an opportunity to purchase Queensway gift vouchers for some great ‘refresh’ packages to give that special someone the smile they have dreamed about for Christmas.

May we once again take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation, patience, and support in adhering to our Covid protocols. We hope you can appreciate that because Queensway is a medical environment, we need to maintain some of the restrictions that other areas have been able to relax. Please remember that these policies are there to keep all our team and patients as safe as we can.

We hope to see you soon and, in the meantime, stay safe and take care.

It’s always a pleasure to see patient Jack Smith but this month he brought with him his gold medal after his team came first in the wheelchair rugby Paralympics in Tokyo!

As a routine hygiene patient, Jack understands the importance of maintaining a healthy mouth and smile…what a legend!

One word…..wow!

A simply stunning top arch smile makeover.

Tooth whitening, crown lengthening, ceramic crowns and bridgework created a bigger, broader and brighter smile for Melanie. It certainly has the wow factor and she said it has made her feel wonderful!

Mouth Cancer Action Month is a charity campaign organised by the Oral Health Foundation. Taking place throughout November, the campaign raises awareness of mouth cancer and shares the important message of being mouthaware.

Watch our video as Dental Hygienist Gill Fenwick talks about how we can spot the signs and help to prevent mouth cancer.

Last week, the entire Queensway Dental team showed their support for Breast Cancer Now by wearing something pink and raising awareness of this amazing charity.

From pink wigs to socks, each member of the team got involved and made a donation to the charity. We were delighted to raise over £80 but the highlight of our day was meeting patient and breast cancer survivor, Eve.

Our brilliantly brave patient, pictured with Dental Hygienist Sally, said she was thrilled to show her support for this amazing cause.

Sisters, Gemma and Emily both had composite veneers to improve their smiles here at Queensway Dental.

They each had their own specifications when it came to the shape and style of their teeth, but ultimately they shared the same goal…to smile with confidence.

We were honoured to invite the ladies along to be Queensway Stars at our latest photo shoot with the talented @gasp_photo_co and to see them show off their gorgeous smiles!

Want to be our next Queensway Star? If you are a Queensway Dental patient who loves their new smile, you could take part in your own personal photo shoot and receive a £50 shopping voucher! Simply email communications@queensway.co.uk for the chance to be involved.

We were delighted to see patients @abigailrose_94 and @calcoakley at the @bellebridalmagazine Wedding Show after they spotted themselves on our banner!

Both Abi and Cal have had composite veneers to improve their smiles and we can’t wait to follow their journey as they become Mr and Mrs!

We are looking forward to attending more wedding events in the very near future so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for announcements on our social media pages!

If you want the VOW factor ahead of your wedding, visit Queensway.co.uk to arrange a free video consultation.
