Students gain practical experience at Queensway Dental Laboratory

Two Manchester Metropolitan University students have been given an opportunity to gain some practical dental laboratory experience at Queensway in between their studies.

Danyaal Nomaz, 19, from Wynyard and Jeremy Cheung, 19, from Darlington have recently completed the first year of a three year degree in Dental Technology and throughout their summer break will be undertaking an 8 week placement at Queensway Dental Laboratory for 2 days per week.

Jeremy said: ‘Being able to gain some practical experience in a dental laboratory is invaluable to us. We are getting to observe highly qualified practitioners in their field, whilst learning what it is like to work in a state-of-the-art dental laboratory. We will most definitely be prepared for starting the second year of our degree.’
