The Look A Head Cancer Campaign

This month we received a newsletter about the ‘Look A Head Cancer Campaign’ from an independent voluntary group who aim to raise awareness of head and neck cancer in South Durham, Darlington, Teesside and North Yorkshire.
As a dental clinic it is important for us to raise awareness of head and neck cancer and educate our patients on the symptoms to look out for.
If you have any of the symptoms below that have lasted more than four weeks see your doctor or dentist without delay:
- Hoarseness
- Pain of discomfort in the throat
- An ulcer on the tongue or another part of the mouth
- A lump or white patch in the mouth
- Painful of difficult swallowing
- A lump in the neck
