Sally Rodgers

Sally started her career as a Dental Nurse in Manchester and went on to join the Royal Air Force where she attended the Defence Dental Training Establishment and qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 2001. After almost 10 years in the Air Force, she moved to the North East and joined Queensway Dental in 2009.

What do you enjoy most about working for Queensway?

I love the diversity of my job role and team around me. I think it enables us to provide a good service which in turn gives job satisfaction.

Where would a patient usually find you in the practice?

I'm usually found tucked away in crown building but can sometimes be found in Greggs with a toffee donut and coffee!

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

My most rewarding moments in work are when a patient tells me they have got their confidence back and can smile again. I've also been very proud of the nurses I work with who have moved on to do degree courses or progressed within the organisation. I’ve have always enjoyed patient interaction and treating patients with Periodontal disease.

What makes you smile?

My son, Ed makes me smile every day; sometimes cry, shout, explode with frustration but mainly laugh out loud, burst with pride and smile! A large glass of red wine is also a sure bet!
