A Family Tradition Continues: Welcoming Dr. Madeleine Averley to Queensway Dental

At Queensway Dental, family has always been at the heart of what we do. From the very beginning, when Dr. Paul Averley opened our doors in Billingham back in 1994, our mission has been simple: to provide outstanding, compassionate dental care to our community.

Now, over 30 years later, we’re delighted to share some wonderful news – the next generation of the Averley family has officially joined the team.

Meet Dr. Madeleine Averley

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Madeleine (Maddie) Averley to Queensway Dental. Maddie graduated from the University of Bristol in 2022 and is bringing her skills, fresh ideas, and passion for patient care to our practices.

You’ll find her two days a week at our original Billingham practice and two days a week at our Jesmond clinic. With her strong foundation in modern dentistry and her lifelong connection to Queensway, Maddie represents both continuity and a new perspective for our patients.

Reflecting on her new role, Maddie shared:

“I’m incredibly proud to be joining Queensway Dental – it’s going to be a real privilege to work amongst this amazing team. In some ways, Queensway has always been part of my life, and I have watched my dad and the Queensway team provide outstanding dental care to their patients. I’m excited to join this journey too.”

For Dr. Paul Averley, seeing Maddie step into the practice is a milestone moment.

Queensway has grown from a single practice in Billingham to over 25 surgeries across seven locations in the North East. Alongside general family dentistry, we provide specialist oral surgery, orthodontics, dental implants, skin treatments, and more – all supported by our state-of-the-art digital laboratory.

But no matter how much we grow, we remain committed to the same values that started it all: putting patients first, nurturing local talent, and providing care you can trust.

Maddie’s arrival marks the continuation of that tradition – combining the warmth of a family practice with the very best in modern dentistry.
