Merry Christmas

We wanted to write to you again this December, not only to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, but to also let you know when we will be open over the festive period.

The last day for any routine appointments will be Friday 24th December when we will be closing at 1pm. We will be open on the mornings of 29th, 30th and 31st December however this will be for emergencies only. If you develop an urgent dental problem, please call the practice from 8am and our patient support advisors will either provide you with home care advice or schedule an emergency appointment as appropriate. We will be open as usual from Tuesday 4th January 2022.

So far, December has proven to be a very busy but festive month and we also wanted to share with you all some of the lovely things we’ve been getting up to in the community and here at the practice.

May we take this opportunity to thank all our patients for their co-operation with our safety policies, patience with changes to appointments and the kindness that has been shown to our staff throughout the year. We appreciate that this has been another challenging year for everyone and without the efforts of both our patients and staff we will not have been able to provide the treatments and smiles which continue to provide confidence for so many.

We wish you and your families a very safe, wonderful, Happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in 2022.

As part of Teesside Family Foundation’s Give a Child a Christmas campaign, we visited Smyths Toys with Santa and got to meet some very special families for a VIP shopping experience.

Queensway Dental sponsored 10 trolleys which gave 10 children who face a Christmas with nothing, have experienced loss or have a life limiting illness or disability the opportunity to whizz around the store and fill their trolleys with £200 worth of toys or electrical goods. 

We also stepped out of the practice last week to help Santa and his elves deliver more than 2000 selection boxes to primary schools in Billingham.

It was wonderful to meet all the excitable children and we are delighted to be working with such an amazing charity, that helps so many families across Teesside.

When it comes to raising money for charity, we can always rely on our amazing team! On Friday 10th December, as part of Save the Children’s national charity day, Queensway Dental team members donned their favourite festive jumpers and raised funds. 

Children’s Charity Save The Children provides help and assistance to children in the UK and all over the world. Since its launch in 2012, the event has raised more than £27 million through the nation wearing their most festive jumpers for one Friday in December.

We even set up a hot chocolate station and team members made donations for Save the Children.  It was a welcome break for our hardworking staff and a lovely way to get into the festive spirit!
