Smile update | April 2023

Welcome to Queensway Dental’s April Newsletter. As we complete the first quarter of the year, it is wonderful to welcome the longer days, the lighter nights and the prospect of summer being around the corner. All we need now is some sunshine and warmth.

Over the last few months, we have tried to bring some sunshine and warmth to our communities and patients and we have loved delivering our ‘Giving back’ campaign with various projects which we have mentioned in previous newsletters. This week we have surprised children in our local communities together with Teesside Family Foundation to deliver Easter gifts to bring a smile to their faces.

We hope that you have a wonderful Easter break whatever you may be doing, and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.

In the meantime, take care and stay safe

1 winner…. Daniel!

Have you been following our latest prize draw; Get Your Smile Back? If you took up treatment in the months of December, January or February you were automatically entered to be in with a chance of winning up to £5000 off your treatment (or straight into your bank to treat yourself).

We absolutely LOVED sharing the news that Daniel was the lucky winner of our Get Your Smile Back prize draw! 🍀 💴

Daniel will be putting the money towards his wedding and honeymoon this year 🥰 We can't wait to see his smile on the big day!

Take a look at Daniel's amazing smile makeover which was achieved using ceramic veneers...

“I laugh even if it’s not funny - I just want to show off my smile.”

Christine might just have provided us with our favourite testimonial to date! 😅🧡

Following dental trauma as a child, Christine lost her front teeth and has been unhappily living with removable dentures since. At the age of 54, she decided that she was ready to start smiling with confidence again and boy she is doing just that following 8 upper dental implants! 😍

We always love meeting happy patients and Christine was our ultimate Queensway Star ⭐️

For the second year running, we are delighted to continue our pledge to plant a tree on behalf of every patient who has a dental implant fitted in 2023 - meaning this year we are already set to plant 80 trees in the North East.

Working with EFORESTS, a not-for-profit organisation that helps combat climate change and help create and restore woodlands throughout the United Kingdom, they plan to plant over hundreds of trees in the coming months.

EFORESTS work with existing, publicly accessible woodlands, nature reserves, urban farms and wildlife trusts to help preserve and enhance woodlands and woodland corridors to benefit wildlife and our future generations.

For every patient that has a dental implant fitted in 2023, Queensway Dental has pledged to donate to the EFORESTS fund, so every implant patient knows that they are contributing to reducing the impact of climate change. The patient will also receive an e-certificate with the type of tree and location where it has been planted. We will also reflect this on our Billingham waiting room's Implant Tree with an individual leaf per dental implant patient.

Queensway Dental, based in Billingham, Yarm and Newcastle is accredited with a Silver Dental CSR certificate which recognises its commitment to the environment and supporting local communities. Queensway also holds an investor in the Environment Bronze award and have an action plan supported by their very own ‘green team’.

Dr Will Carter, partner at Queensway said: “Planting trees can have a tremendous benefit to the environment. By pledging to donate to EFORESTS on behalf of every patient who has a tooth implant, we can make a very small, but ever so necessary difference to climate change and growing a positive, greener future for generations to come. It is the least we can do, and we are proud to support the cause.”

Andrew Haining Founder of EFORESTS.CO.UK said; “It’s great that Queensway are planting trees with us on behalf of their patients. Planting trees has so many benefits for people, the planet and for wildlife. It’s nice to know that each time a patient is taking care of their teeth, they are also helping to take care of the planet.”

We will keep you updated as the tree blooms!
