Smile update | December 2022

Welcome to December’s newsletter – this month appears to have come around extremely quickly and as we look back over the year, we are very proud of our team who have continued to work so incredibly hard throughout 2022.

As you will read in this month’s newsletter, we are delighted to have been awarded the ‘Investors in People’ Gold award. This incredible achievement is a recognition of the dedication, discipline and focus displayed by our entire team. Our wonderful team are fully committed to our core values and provide an environment which can provide a first-class, caring service for our patients and staff alike.

This month, we will be launching our exciting Christmas social media competition and an even bigger competition for anyone who is thinking about starting their smile transformation over the next few months. Good luck to all of those who enter.

Queensway Dental  

World champion tumbling gymnast, Shanice had experienced trauma to her front teeth during training which resulted in chips and multiple fillings throughout the years.

Conscious she was heading to Bulgaria for the world championships, Shanice came to Queensway Dental to transform her smile with zirconia crowns and a veneer. Now, she’s confident smiling and talking on camera!

Queensway Dental is celebrating after being awarded the Investors in People, We Invest in People, gold accreditation.

Investors in People sets out the national standard for good practice for employee connection, engagement, wellbeing and organisational culture, contributing to organisational stability, security and success. The organisation assessed how Queensway Dental performed against the We Invest in People framework.

Gold accreditation means that you’ve got the policies in place but more than that, it means everyone – from CEO to apprentice takes ownership for making them come to life.

Queensway Dental, which specialises in restorative, general and cosmetic dentistry employs over 100 members of staff across its practices in Billingham, Yarm and Jesmond.

Commenting on the award, Colette Meek, HR and Governance Manager at Queensway Dental, said: “It’s fantastic to join the top 17% of accredited organisations across the UK who believe in realising the potential of their people.

“We believe that the success of our organisation begins and ends with our people and if we make a better working environment for everyone, we will all be healthier and happier as a result.
